But the answer is partly that these media outlets have long since stopped serving the public good. Those organs that ARE trying to do so won't go down this road. Now, that might not let the signal penetrate the noise, but journalism that is imbricate with capitalism will never serve the public except clandestinely and on its extreme margins.

My contention for years is that someone will converse with an AI that will use those constantly revised specs to write the actual code - and the documentation and the instructions and make the tutorial videos.

I think English majors will be hired in tech jobs because the bots will do the grunt work of coding, and the English majors will be lots cheaper than Comp Sci majors.
