There were some funny bits with Willie nelson and Rip Torn, and some of the solo nelson songs were great, but there were too many mediocre Kristofferson tunes, where he was going for more of a stadium country rock vibe. Director Alan Rudolph was going for a 70's vibe, a little Altmanesque, but didn't pull it off. Worth seeing as a curiosity.
