It wasn't anything major at all! I tried to get coverage, but it didn't work out. I had a last minute chance to see a show that I couldn't pass up, so I put on a mask and drove two hours, round trip, to see it. Sadly, the show was PRECISELY when Dimestore Radio Theater was on the air.

Like I said, I tried to get coverage, but it just wasn't in the cards. But I'm not sorry. The show was great.

I think Kling will believe it. If anything the first thing he must say when he sees Dan now is "who knocked you out this time Holiday?"
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:12pm

I feel like they occasionally have Kling not trust Dan as much as he actually would, given their relationship. I think that happens a lot in serialized detective / noir type shows. Realistically, you would have a better reputation with an officer you saw so often.

Unwound, on one of their few reunion tour dates. I saw them a bunch in the 90's, with the best man at my wedding. (Well before I was married.) So he decided to see several of the shows on the tour, and I joined him for one of the Portland shows. It was like a dose of nostalgia, for sure; I must have saw them play those same songs, 25 years ago, lots. So to see them again was emotional. I dropped WAY too much on one-of-a-kind merch from the tour.

In every film book I've read, they stress how Casablanca was just a, "studio picture," and that it was just another movie that Hollywood was cranking out. But when I watch it now, it really holds up in a way that not a lot of other films from that era do. It's a classic for a reason.
