@WN, I didn't mind Blade Runner 2049, so maybe you would not like The Peripheral -- hard to say. My standards are probably a lot lower after the pitiful depths to which seasons 11-13 of the modern incarnation of Doctor Who sunk. A deranged five-year-old could write a better script in crayon.

@Carm, Apple+ also has Severance which is excellent. Also, it's a bit gradual, but For All Mankind gets really interesting after a while. Pure alternate history, but not that divergent from our reality (at first), and no aliens or overtly far-out sci-fi stuff (which is usually what I prefer, but this is good).

Wild Neil||Peace All:

For All Mankind sounds pretty good, I liked Man in the High Castle until the last few episodes.

Severance is on my list because it was inspired in part by the backrooms lore. Love me some backrooms.

I was dubious about For All M, but it's also really good, starts a bit slow but gets better

@HD, oh wow, cool. I think nearly every classic Doctor has some good ones, the only one I never really got into was the first guy, William Hartnell, who's a bit too much of an angry crank for me. I recently watched his ep "The Web Planet" for the first time and it's stark raving nuts. It has the WORST monster costumes EVER, like giant wasps w/ human legs and corny giant butterflies, yet the boss at the end is a creepy tentacle-covered shining window thing, a very solid, freaky budget Lovecraftian Old One! So parts of it are surprisingly creepy. Very, very strange episode.

Hello. Loved the last set! Also, Prisoners of Gravity was the best sci fi book chat television show ever.

Many thanks, Olivia. Cheers, good people. Gotta peel off and go home to hide before going back to work for a holiday party and karaoke.

Oops, giant ants, not giant wasps. Also one of them walks straight into the camera at one point. So that's delightful.

Re: SciFi: the Missus and I are enjoying the sci-fi farce Avenue 5 immensely. It's like Douglas Adams meets The Firesign Theatre.

@Ike It's like they went to a thrift store, bought the most random items, and glued them all together. I love the cheesiness! And Hartnell was definitely a curmudgeon. When he barked at his companion to close the TARDIS doors I thought "don't they close on their own?"
