Had some oral surgery work done last week and wound up with some nerve damage, so my speaking is not the clearest when running a two hour meeting. lower right half of my face and left half of my tongue nearly totally numb. People enjoy watching me try to eat soup!

Might be permanent, just might be slow healing (6 months to a year worst case). I'm getting used to it, grudgingly so. I can deal with the facial stuff but the tongue thing is not fun. I bite it a half dozen times a day. Silver lining is my bottom teeth are numb as well, so I have yet to feel a thing from an implant I had put in at the same time.

Thanks rw! @coel that's been suggested, I'll likely give it a try. I have some leftover gabapentin I had for a sleep aid that I understand is used for peripheral neuropathy so I may give that a try as well. I see the doc Friday morning so we'll see what he says.
