I set the over/under for snow that sticks in NYC at 12/8, and K8 took the under. We'll see who collects.*

*(Side note: K8 never pays when she loses. You'd think that would be enough to get me to not bet, but there's a chance I have a teensy little gambling problem. File it with all the rest. I have a lot more demons where that came from.)

The UK equivalent of the Dead in the sense of - wherever they were playing, thats where you'd find the acid. & also in that they Played a lot. Obviously the contrasts are as significant as the comparisons... Anyhow, if you were There - you'd probly felt you related powerfully... Hawkwind also quite Punk (would you say) in that they were not especially technically skilled Musically - but got together & Went For It. & didn't aim for Chart credit really @ all. Tho their Albums seemed to be pretty relevant to a lot of people.

My 91.1 experience today has included CT NPR on the front room stereo (I distinctly heard someone say "sports?" in this shocked voice like they couldn't believe they existed) and a fluctuating static pattern while sitting in the car that sounded like a giant goat was trying to eat the transmitter but sometimes got tired.
