One of my best memories when I was a DJ at my now-defunct dingy little 10-watt college radio station in NJ: Low’s first album “I Could Live in Hope” showed up one day. We only got certain labels’ items and a lot of things got stolen, but that stuck around. Perfect brilliant sounds for a sleepy freshman stuck doing a 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. show.

I had work send a book to Mark Hurst c/o the station. The first time it was delivered to the PO but never appeared in the station's PO box. Second time it was returned to us. Eevntually, Mark swung by the office to grab a copy ...

A couple of months ago I ordered a book from Amazon (no choice, it's published through them and only available there). One week later I got a refund because they wouldn't ship it to the EU from the UK (it was Loop Skywalker's memoir)

TheTemptations being five - reaching a clear democratic decision on ayes easier than for quartets ...& less awkward than for trios...

Mary Wing:

The thing is, if you hear it once on the radio, whatever song comes next will make you forget it. Playing versions forces you to pay attention to it. (or tune it out, heh)

Always say 3oak is somewhat Stockholm Syndrome for tunes ...maybe but of course it's great if you care about Song Structure or comparative Interpretation @ all.

i'm listening on a laptop so i can't be sure but i haven't thought any of these versions to be terrible. that's a fairly rare occurrence, especially when there are multiple relatively late-model versions

@Mary: The first set of Ken show's was scary, but he showed mercy this time. I guess it's the afterglow of the hellraiser
