Every October, WFMU conducts its Year End fund drive, a.k.a. the October Hellraiser. The Year End fundraiser is very important for us since it gets us over the hump of the winter months – that drab time of year when the weather gets cold, the days get shorter, and funds are low. We have two great T-shirts exclusive to this year’s campaign and goodies from the spring are still available, so raise a little hell – and a little cash for WFMU – this October by pledging your support for freeform radio! It never re opened after covid and various other reasons like bldg construction etc etc

Reg, per Ken's State of the Station, one of the main things is that with no liquor license it's really hard to make money off it given all the overhead. So you need acts that draw enough crowd to pay enough to pay for it but also willing to take a "charity" cut only, which is a hard combo to book, I'd guess.
