	♥ 7:29am yerfriendpaul: I drove up to Connecticut on Friday and took my niece to lunch and later an excellent tour of the Mark Twain house. We met a couple from Iowa and after the tour I mentioned that our friend Clay grew up there. He texted his friend who grew up in Audubon and sure enough his younger brother had a connection to Clay! 2 additional tidbits I learned: 1. the local teenagers in Audubon give their landmark, Albert The Bull’s “man part” a fresh coat of paint every once in a while. 2. There was a beloved local tv show in Iowa called Duane and Floppy. There is some great footage on line. Good stuff!

	♥ 8:44am dday: As the smallest kid in grade school, I had to fight my way through for years. My Dads father was a PBA boxer who taught us all how to box properly. I got picked on & lost some fights but won many more so by the time I became a 4' 11" tall HS freshman I had a rep as "that crazy little bastid dday" I was a HS freshman in a Senior gym class, with the coach who was my Dads football coach (a real hardass). I had NO problems with anyone. The Seniors took me in & had my back. I taught my step kids to NEVER start a fight but also how to protect & stand up for themselves if picked on. School officials were useless in that regard. They talked a good game but did nothing. Once my boys took care of themselves, no more problems with bullies. That's the reality of things.

We met a couple from Iowa and after the tour I mentioned that our friend Clay grew up there. He texted his friend who grew up in Audubon and sure enough his younger brother had a connection to Clay! 2 additional tidbits I learned: 1. the local teenagers in Audubon give their landmark, Albert The Bull’s “man part” a fresh coat of paint every once in a while. 2. There was a beloved local tv show in Iowa called Duane and Floppy. There is some great footage on line. Good stuff!

	♥ 8:44am dday: As the smallest kid in grade school, I had to fight my way through for years. My Dads father was a PBA boxer who taught us all how to box properly. I got picked on & lost some fights but won many more so by the time I became a 4' 11" tall HS freshman I had a rep as "that crazy little bastid dday" I was a HS freshman in a Senior gym class, with the coach who was my Dads football coach (a real hardass). I had NO problems with anyone. The Seniors took me in & had my back. I taught my step kids to NEVER start a fight but also how to protect & stand up for themselves if picked on. School officials were useless in that regard. They talked a good game but did nothing. Once my boys took care of themselves, no more problems with bullies. That's the reality of things.
