I used to have a late night in the office Thursdays, which was when performances were always scheduled, but I've changed it recently, hopefully I can get there at some point.

Yo La Tengo is having their Chanukah extravaganza again this year, got to 1 show last year, maybe...

david, the Drummer stream has been very kind to me. The music and community I've found here have done a great deal to sustain me and mine through a very challenging couple of years. I can't thank alla youse enough.

Hi chresti!

doc, the lovely wife and I got Chanukah tix for Tuesday 12/20 and Friday 12/23. Looking forward.

desert fox:

Hi Chresti! I did back of house for YLT in Marfa a million years ago and their rider had: vegetable platter with hummus (no baby carrots.) and since then, I have wanted to do a tribute band called No Baby Carrots.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:17pm
david w:

I think baby carrots are just shaved down stumps from the reject pile.
Avatar 🥁 6:19pm
ranjit:

My dog loved baby carrots. I agree with David and YLT about 'em.

(hello!)
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:19pm
doctorjazz:

Just checked Yo La Tengo, most nights are already sold out (the 2 nights you're going are, Adamdoesit). Saturday and Sunday still have tix available (Christmas eve and Christmas day, natch).

Glad to hear baby carrots aren't really carrots cut down before the prime of their lives, so much guilt...

Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:25pm
adamdoesit:

doc, hmm. Tempting to go for three, but that's a lot of time spent watching guitar techs sweep for baby carrots with a feather.

tbh, I find the whole baby vegetables thing (carrots, kale, lettuces, etc.) a bit disturbing.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:26pm
chresti:

hi desert fox! Let us know when No Baby Carrots come to town!

Have to say, I didn't love my night last year, turned into a guitar solo jam extragvaganza, standing room was rough on my back, so crowded it seems like a COVID breeder (still recovering from the current bout). But I could still go for Christmas.
My first high school band was Shaved Down Stumps!
