Speaking of very nice boys, I just have to say that Alejandro Escovedo is one of the nicest people I ever was lucky enough to meet. After seeing Rank and File's sound check at the Lone Star Cafe (it was practically next door to my school, so I just walked in the afternoon before their show) and, of course, seeing the show, and writing about it in my fanzine (this was the early '80s), I didn't see Alejandro again for something like 25 years -- but when we were introduced all those years later, he remembered me. How very impressive, for someone who meets tons and tons of people all the time. And, talking to him, I just knew he was a super-quality individual. A true doll, not to mention so talented. I'm sending love to all the very nice boys...!

Speaking of very nice boys, I just have to say that Alejandro Escovedo is one of the nicest people I ever was lucky enough to meet. After seeing Rank and File's sound check at the Lone Star Cafe (it was practically next door to my school, so I just walked in the afternoon before their show) and, of course, seeing the show, and writing about it in my fanzine (this was the early '80s), I didn't see Alejandro again for something like 25 years -- but when we were introduced all those years later, he remembered me. How very impressive, for someone who meets tons and tons of people all the time. And, talking to him, I just knew he was a super-quality individual. A true doll, not to mention so talented. I'm sending love to all the very nice boys...!
