There's no such thing as "bad" pizza. Dominos is situated right next to a very high-end Italian restaurant in my neighborhood. And I sometimes wonder if the passers-by ever conflate the smell of Dominos with that of the high-end place. And, that makes me laugh.

Out here, we found incredibly cheap pizza dough balls. (Sometimes a buck apiece.) They bake pretty well, if you're willing to roll it out and flour a pan and all that.

Once I got good at baking them, I starting making my own pizzas. Holy cow, that was a game changer. The dough is made, it takes maybe 30 minutes to roll out and top it the way you want, and you can get it crispy as you like... we haven't gone back, once we got the pesto sauce figured out.

I've tried making pizza dough, but I've never gotten quite good at it. I keep trying every so often... but those pre-made ones at the store are pretty cheap. It's almost worth saving the time and buying one...

But my winter goal is to bake again. (Cookies and bread.) We'll see how that goal goes...
