I myself, even as a chubby candy devouring Bklyn child, hated marshmallows and even smores, but we could make a fire and do s'mores... would have to be November but that works for the fire ..

Had to shoo all the students back out and get her upish ... neither drugs nor alcohol .. she was just wiped out = teaching and doing her MA at the same time ..

It was like we told her her dog died. The look on her face was wild, like the world had spun ahead of her.

As a kid, I scored a receiver/8 track combo for probably nothing at a garage sale (1980 or so) and you could get 8 track tapes at garage sales too. That and Scorpions tapes were the soundtrack to playing with my model railroad set. There - now you all know I’m a huge nerd.

I almost tried to win the Damned tickets, but I actually feel like staying home tonight . The Damned were excellent at the Stone Pony. People whined because No Captain!, but what's-his-name was a more-than-worthy fill-in, musically speaking. They sounded like The Damned.

Had to sell it to a local electronics repair shop, where I traded it in for a new and better model, the same one I currently own. I also had a portable MD player for a while until it fell apart.

She purloined my old cassette player, and she actually bought NEW cassettes (at Euclid and Mushroom in New Orleans). New cassettes actually cost more than be CDs now. And there seem not to be so many 25¢ used cassettes in used records stores. They've thrown them all away, maybe.

I first started to see cassettes again at diy punk shows about 15 years ago and they've remained the small indie band's medium of choice (often with a download link) despite being THE WORST MEDIUM EVER. Anecdotally I feel like CDs are slowly replacing cassettes as the young bands' cheap physical product of choice....
	♥ 2:53pm Figgsrock: I purged all the cassettes I had that were doubles of items I had on CD/vinyl about 6-7 years ago. Wish I had saved them and sold them off in the past year! That being said, I still have a drawer of 48 of them on my desk, with my printer perched on top of the case.

UV-TV formed in Gainesville, Florida, in the mid-2010s, but by the turn of the decade they’d relocated to New York City. Their first release after moving to NYC, 2021’s Always Something, was one of EFD’s favorites of that year; they’ll play some songs from that album as well as some new songs from an upcoming release. Tune in for some post-punk jangle-drone!

The Prof. Fuzz 63 are a three-piece family band from just north of Dallas. They’re also literally a garage band. Their garage/practice space is adorned with photos of The Cramps, among others, and singer uses an old telephone handset for a mic. What else do you need to know? OK, they’re also playing May 22 at Berlin in NYC and May 23 at Finnegan’s in Hoboken.

As a kid, I scored a receiver/8 track combo for probably nothing at a garage sale (1980 or so) and you could get 8 track tapes at garage sales too. That and Scorpions tapes were the soundtrack to playing with my model railroad set. There - now you all know I’m a huge nerd.

Had to sell it to a local electronics repair shop, where I traded it in for a new and better model, the same one I currently own. I also had a portable MD player for a while until it fell apart.

I first started to see cassettes again at diy punk shows about 15 years ago and they've remained the small indie band's medium of choice (often with a download link) despite being THE WORST MEDIUM EVER. Anecdotally I feel like CDs are slowly replacing cassettes as the young bands' cheap physical product of choice....
	♥ 2:53pm Figgsrock: I purged all the cassettes I had that were doubles of items I had on CD/vinyl about 6-7 years ago. Wish I had saved them and sold them off in the past year! That being said, I still have a drawer of 48 of them on my desk, with my printer perched on top of the case.
