For the record, people should be pissed at MoFi. That's totally fucked up, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a class action lawsuit at some point.
But people's priorities are way fuckin outta line when it comes to the record buying public these days. I'm embarrassed for entire swathes of consumers out there. Oh well, enjoy your $125 platter. But I bet that scratched OG you flipped passed in the store sounds just as good, and probably better.
And is an authentically analogue reproduction!

...listening to Mastering Engineers from the vinyl LP days - they explained how they knew damn well what the limitations were - & they worked within them ARTFULLY. Everyone got seduced by the increased dynamic range of Digital. Is a high def movie automatically better than a grainy B&W film by a Master who knew what his Medium was ? Not f*cking likely.

Ironically, if they're listening to a modern reissue.....they're probably not.

It's a very mellow book store, so I can't play the music as loud as I'd like. I'm always amazed at how much older music I missed and I want everything I've heard here. Maybe compile it all and have it pressed on 300 gm vinyl.
