Thanks Jeremy, looking forward to what weird direction we next head.
For me, Interesting from the creative aspect, but just another "competition" show which I've had enough of.
We have enough division. Pitting people against each other from "survival" on a remote island to small children cooking is to me, just people being used to make show runners millions (or more).
Pottery (as any art form) is subjective. We all might see the same piece differently so the idea of "mine's better than yours" really doesn't hold up for me.
I'd watch it solely to see beautiful works, no matter how imperfect one might be compared to the other.
Again just my view :)
Escape the heat and head for McCartney! It’s 84 today in north NJ and heading for low humidity
Yes!
Yes!
Yes!
My wife and I did it for 3 years before my daughter was born 12 years ago! But as the world is an awesome place, my daughter and I are going to do open studio time this summer right here in town.
I watch almost no TV these days.
The whole "reality show" thing doesn't do it for me.Scripted reality.
I once wrote to CBS after the first season of Survivor.
I told the show runners "the show would be better if the winner was last contestant not eaten on the island."
They "thanked me for my suggestion." :)
Can you look one up for me? Ganja - please
heyHEYhey.
Speaking of music and Chicago... we're heading there next month and our trip coincides with Lolapalooza (unfortunately!)
Some shows bring out the worst in these types of people (highly competitive, win at all costs types). It's why I find it particularly disturbing when these shows involve children. Talk about fostering negative mental health issues. @Peter in Dover: I watch mostly documentaries about music on free streaming service. Hardly any "commercial" tv for me, when I do it's mostly how to shows, educational, home renno & cooking, but sometimes while flipping over to local weather etc. I see these clips like I mention.
We get 22 channels , that's it.
TV is garbage these days IMO
He’s just not good
Wake and bake baby!

Garden City, LI has one of the highest rates of accidental Overdose death amongst 18-35 year old in the country
I use an evil Firestick & watch stuff on Prime; Tubi & FreeVee (old Imbd TV) so far.
Content can be older although I just watched a great doc on the band Morphine the other day (2022 release) so content is always changing.
As for the usual "privacy" issues, I installed a hardware (cabled) ethernet a/b switch. When not watching the tv is physically disconneted from the internet so only during show viewing am i "tracked"
An $8.00 fix.

I always find these songs about 17 year old girls creepy.
I have been teaching 17 year old kids for 19 years now.
Always get the vibe: “stop (or don’t) tempting me!!!” from songs on this topic.

On 14 May 2022, the group won the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with 631 points, securing Ukraine's third Eurovision victory with their song "Stefania".
On 12 February 2022, Kalush Orchestra competed to represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy with the song "Stefania". In the final of the national selection Vidbir, they took second place with 14 points (six from the jury and eight from the audience). Due to technical difficulties that occurred during the voting process, Psiuk believed that Alina Pash had been wrongly chosen as the winner.
Despite coming in second place, the band were offered the chance to represent Ukraine after the withdrawal of Pash due to controversy regarding her travel history in Crimea. On 22 February, Kalush Orchestra accepted the offer. On the same day, the Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne published the official voting results of Vidbir 2022, confirming that Pash had been correctly chosen as the winner, contrary to Psiuk's claims.
During the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Daniil Chernov has been serving in the Territorial Defense Forces around the capital Kyiv. When the group left the country for the Eurovision Song Contest in April that year, fellow dancer Vlad Kurochka replaced him as MC KylymMen, while Oleksandr Slobodianyk (alias Sasha Tab) replaced Dzhonni Dyvnyy as backing vocalist. Dzhonni Dyvnyy stated that he could not travel to Turin due to commitments with other musical projects.
The group won the Eurovision final on 14 May with 631 points, securing Ukraine's third Eurovision victory. "Stefania" became the first song with rap lyrics to win the contest, as well as the winning song with the highest number of televote points in the history of the contest. The group later announced that they would put their Eurovision trophy up for auction to raise money for the Ukrainian armed forces. The trophy was sold for US$900,000, with proceeds earmarked for purchase of combat drones for Ukraine's military.

SPALDING ! For a change.
Writing drugs and alcohol is like writing drugs and coccain…
The contribution of pragmatism to social thought was twofold. First, pragmatism led to emphasis on the specific historical conditions which gave rise to established beliefs, laws, and pubLic policies. Using this approach, existing beliefs, laws, and public policies could be recognized as being at one time relevant to certain past circumstances but perhaps as being now irrelevant to the present.
Thus pragmatism undermined the authority of the status quo and by its insistence that the human thought process functioned as a device to solve problems, encouraged reform.
(Can’t smoke in The hospital room while your beloved gives birth anymore)
Second, by its insistence that one could not know the real meaning of a belief, law, or public policy except by ascertaining their practical consequences, pragmatism encouraged an experimental approach to social affairs, a method of trial & error.
