Hello spodiodi!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:09pm WR:

I think I have this Kagel on a Deutsche Grammophon recording, but of course it is packed away in storage.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Jan Turkenburg:

:-)
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Feldy:

Hey Jan! Some Atonal weirdness!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Adam!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm Mr Fab:

Ooh, this is the episode I've been looking forward to.
Avatar 12:18pm desi:

liminal & creeepy-I like it - Thks Jan (ps what does frame duggy louder mean)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm Mr Fab:

One positive takeaway from my Catholic upbringing - my love of spooky organ music that they used to serenade us with during church services. I have a folder of music that I was going to make into a post on my old blog called "Occult Organs."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi again Mr Fab
Hi again desi. Frame Duggy Louder is derived from the Dutch "Vreemde Geluiden" (meaning 'strange sounds' ) which is pronounced somewhat like "Frame Duh Guh Louder".
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:23pm WR:

rateyourmusic.com...

this is fun.

"The last two pieces, composed both by Francis Chapelet with the second being also performed by him, are named after two existing volcanos and aim to simulate their activities.
Specifically 'Etna 71' is a thunderous and rutilant representation of the eruption of the Etna that took place in 1971, while 'Evocations improvisées de l'éruption du volcan Niragongo' is more of a musical survey on Niragongo's volcanism and environs."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm Jan Turkenburg:

I hadn't looked it up, but yes, no surprise!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm MHLee:

Well here I am again
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi again MHLee!
Avatar 12:29pm desi:

I believe Ursula was compiling a dream fever theme...this butts up well. I feel David Lynch, EraserHead, vibes
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:30pm WR:

Thank you Jan. Laters folks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm Jan Turkenburg:

cu WR
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm spodiodi:

adios, WR
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Mr Fab:

Oh darn, that’s a joke graphic! Too bad, I wish there really was an old song called “The Idiots Are Taking Over” for accordion and Hawaiian guitar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Jan Turkenburg:

:=)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Jan Turkenburg:

Through the window I'm hearing swifts screaming in their flight. Blends in perfectly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm Mr Fab:

Good idea. Just opened my window. I agree with Desi, so let's give my lovely suburban spring day an Eraserhead vibe and confuse my neighbors.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm Jan Turkenburg:

hahahahaha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Jan Turkenburg:

I think I could play this even slower...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Mr Fab:

There's a house about a mile from here that does in fact have a skeleton sitting at a piano in their front yard. Looks like Halloween decorations that they never bothered to take down. I bet plenty of people have slammed on their brakes driving by.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:00pm Feldy:

Having a blast dancing to these straight-up organ party anthemz
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05pm Jan Turkenburg:

I knew SOMEbody would!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Mr Fab:

re "As Slow as Possible":
"An organ in St. Burchardi church in Halberstadt in 2001 began a performance that is due to end in 2640. The next note will be played on 5th February 2024."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm Jan Turkenburg:

LOL!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm MHLee:

@MR Fab I had a professor in undergrad that must've have thousands invested in Halloween decorations.... including movie quality costumes and makeup every year
Avatar 1:15pm Domenic:

Working: Realize this music occupies one part of my brain so the other part can function....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hey Domenic!
Avatar 1:18pm desi:

@Mr Fab @12:21 - yes!
The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine has an immense organ(sexual pun intended) I've heard Mickey Hart w/his Rhythm Devils - VERY COOL
Avatar 1:18pm desi:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Jan Turkenburg:

hahahahahahaha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm spodiodi:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24pm Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar 1:37pm Domenic:

Think Gary Verkade is taking liberties with Ligeti's score....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, I heard a few wrong intervals too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm Jan Turkenburg:

And one break was cut off too short.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Jan Turkenburg:
