That is one thing I really miss in Japan: Good tacos. Mexican food is really expensive here!

I think there might be two or three good Mexcian restaurants in Tokyo.... And one of them only seats like 8 people.

Well, we have good ramen in Montreal... but one day I would like to dive into ramen seas in Japan.
Avatar 5:08pm
Mike Rogers:

Thanks for reminding me, Mr. Fab! I forgot to update the playlist!!!! I'm losing my mind....
Avatar 5:08pm
Mr Fab:

Lack of Mexican food might be a deal-breaker for me. Do these restaurants at least make it in a reasonably authentic way?
Avatar 5:08pm
Mike Rogers:

Otis, even the bad ramen places here are really good. $5.50 gets you awesome ramen.
Avatar 5:10pm
Otis:

I will dream Mike and one day hope to make my dinner dreams come true there. I adore fresh ramen.
Avatar 5:11pm
Mike Rogers:

There used to be a great Mexican food place (for Japan that is) near my house. Perhaps you've heard of it, Taco Bell?
Avatar 5:11pm
Otis:

Really dig the Tucker sound, last week too.
Avatar 5:14pm
Mike Rogers:

I went there once. Only once. There was a lettuce shortage in Japan (that happens sometimes) Ever had a tack with cabbage instead of lettuce? Well, you haven't lived yet!
Avatar 5:15pm
spodiodi:

cabbage taco 🤔
Avatar 5:17pm

probably better than corned beef and lettuce

Avatar 5:19pm

Avatar 5:20pm

Avatar 5:23pm
Mr Fab:

Yeah, Elmo is one talented muppet.
Avatar 5:23pm
Mike Rogers:

This next band, BimBamBoom is 5 girls doing the Jazzy thang. I saw them open for a punk band, and the kids really like them. I was suprised.
  5:23pm
Charles:

Maybe they are in the future and this is why they want to go there.
Avatar 5:27pm
Otis:

BimBam Funky Amazing!
Avatar 5:27pm
Mike Rogers:

Yeah. I like this future business.... I hope I can find some money laying around...
Avatar 5:30pm
Mike Rogers:

Is it just me? But it seems a long time ago, I would find money just laying on the street. No kidding, and a lot of money.... But these last few years, I never do. Is the economy getting bad?
  5:31pm
Charles:

Never thought about that. Maybe you can get an idea of how a country's economy is doing by the amount of cash laying around...
Avatar 5:33pm
Mike Rogers:

My wife would always yell at me and tell me to stop always looking down. But she changed her tune when I found $700 TWICE and $2000 once.
Avatar 5:33pm
Mr Fab:

That used to happen to me too! Dollar bills, fivers, even a twenty once. Been a while since that’s happened, now that you mention it.
Avatar 5:34pm
Mr Fab:

$2000?!?
Avatar 5:35pm
Mike Rogers:

I was a good boy I alwasy took the money to the police station.... But after six months, they sent me a postcard and then gave me back the money. I was worried some single mom had lost it.... After I got the money from the police, I gave it to my wife.
Avatar 5:37pm
Mike Rogers:

Yep. $2000 in a plain maila envelope. I was so shocked. It was like 2 am and there was trash on the street. So I picked it up. There was this envelope and I knew it was filled with money when I picked it up.
I took it to the police and they gave it back to me 6 months later.
Avatar 5:38pm
Mike Rogers:

There was nothing written on the envelope. The policeman said, "You are an honest man!" I replied, "Well, I'm not that honest, I did think about keeping it for almost a day!"
Avatar 5:40pm
Mike Rogers:

Oh! The guilty pleasures I could have had with that money.
Avatar 5:43pm
Mike Rogers:

The next morning, when I woke up, my eldest daughter said, "Give me $500!" I said "Why?" She said, "Because you found $2000 last night."
You know, as parents, we always try to teach our kids right. So, how could I give her $500? How could I waste that money screwing around? I had to give it to the police then.
Amazingly, I did right, and eventually got the money anyhow. Thank you GOD!

Avatar 5:46pm

Avatar 5:48pm

Haha, sounds exactly like something my daughter would say.

Avatar 5:54pm

Avatar 5:54pm

mochy:

マイクさん、ありがとうございました。木曜日また!
Avatar 5:55pm
Mr Fab:

Wow, time flies! Thanks Mike, and if you don’t find $2000 today, I hope you find a burrito.
Avatar 5:57pm
Mike Rogers:

So, we get the $2000.
Later that night, I went to the radio station where I worked. I was produ of myself. I did right and still got the money. I said, "Thanks you god!"
I'm walking toward the train station and here's this nun (sister) carrying a case of beer standing at the crosswalk. I stared at her as I walked by... Not a regular scene you'd see everyday. Then I thought, "Where are my manners?" I walked over to her and told her I would carry the beer to where ever she was going.
She was waling down the street to a car. At that car anther sister was praying. (Probably to get someone to help her carry that case of beer. It was heavy.
So, I walked with the beers and put the case in the car.
The sisters told me they were having a party and invited me, I told them I had to go to work and said "Goodbye"
That little detour took me about 5 minutes. I went back towards the trains station. I was so happy, I got the money AND helped some of God's secretaries.
As I walked towards the station, there was a crowd of about 40 people standing waiting for the light to tunr green. I was about 40 or 50 fett behind them.
The light turned green and everone walked across. I got to the crosswalk and there was a $100 bill just laying in the crosswalk. I couldn't believe it.
Avatar 5:59pm
spodiodi:

ha! what luck
Avatar 6:00pm
Mr Fab:

Still, I’d probably forever be wondering what a beer party with nuns would have been like.
Avatar 6:00pm
Mike Rogers:

Thanks guys! Thanks for listening.
Avatar 6:00pm

I went to catholic school... Nuns still freak me out to this day.
