Bratmobile  Bitch Theme   Options Pottymouth  Kill Rock Stars  1993  Bratmobile was an American punk band from Olympia, Washington, active from 1991 to 2003, and known for being one of the first-generation "riot grrrl" bands. The band was influenced by several eclectic musical styles, including elements of pop, surf, and garage rock. Alison Wolfe and Molly Neuman had been raised in activist families: Wolfe had been raised by a lesbian activist mother, and Neuman's father worked for the Democratic National Committee and had introduced his daughter to leaders of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC).Their shared musical influences included punk, hip hop, and the Olympia band Beat Happening. Wolfe said, "Something in me clicked. Like, okay, if most boy punk rock bands just listen to the Ramones and that's how they write their songs, then we'll do the opposite and I won't listen to any Ramones and that way we'll sound different."    0:14:26 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
KEG  Kids   Options Kids Single  BMG  2022  Brighton-based seven-piece KEG share their frenzied and whip-smart new single ‘Kids’, along with announcing new EP Girders – set for release 2 September on Alcopop! Records/BMG. On Kids, KEG say, “I’ve always had a great relationship with my mum, but there were occasional times where I remember her saying ‘I love you loads, i just don’t like you very much at the moment’. What if your kids grew up the complete opposite of you? What if they like Michael Macintyre and will only eat health foods?“ Also, it's ok to not like your kids...or your parent sometimes. I'm sure we all wonder..."what if we hadn't?"...because not everyone is cut out for parenting. Let's quit the narrative that child rearing is required for existential fulfillment. Because it's not.  *   0:15:48 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
Neonates  Over Fire   Options Neonates  Sister Polygon Records  1993  Women have the right to agency, autonomy and control over their own lives and minds and identity. Forced motherhood removes all of that autonomy. A mother who doesn't want to be a mother isn't equipped to be a good mother, and don't all children deserve mothers who want to be mothers? Neonates, obviously a play on neonatal...referring to newborn children or other mammals.    0:19:49 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
Lucrate Milk  Kick Your Ass   Options I Love You Fuck Off  Bondage Records  1987  Uncompromising French Art punk and no wave. The band was formed in 1979 by two former milk delivery men, Lombrick Laul (bass player, and the future designer the band Bérurier Noir), and Masto Lowcost (born Tomas Huser, saxophonist and photographer), The two began stenciling the band's name on the walls of Paris which led to the originality of their look and their approach. The band was later joined by American-born keyboardist and singer Nina Childress, percussionist Raoul Gaboni, and vocalist Helno (born Noël Rota). The story of the band was they originally started as joke and picked which instruments they hated the most, and often were known playing mainly in squats in the Pali-Kao plant of Belleville. The music was often called "Wild, dadaist, juvenile, and anti-commercial", and the band had been likened to UK based punk bands the Slits, Crass and X-Ray Spex. With Laul and Nina's artistic backgrounds, the band also designed their own graphics and videos which often accompanied them when they played live. After the band's breakup, many of the members went on to form various other bands including Bérurier Noir. Nina Childress became a painter, and a member of the art collective the Frères Ripoulin.[4] Helno (rechristened Helno Rota de Lourcqua) became the singer of Les Negresses Vertes; in 1993, he died of a heroin overdose at age 29. Also, try and take away my bodily autonomy and I will kick your fucking ass.    0:20:23 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
Neo Boys  Under Control   Options Sooner Or Later  K Records  2013  Neo Boys was an American punk band from Portland, Oregon, United States, active from 1978-1983. Considered Portland's first all-female punk band, Neo Boys are noted for their political and feminist lyrics. Hannah Lew, of Grass Widow, wrote: "They created a world I have taken refuge in during times when I felt the effects of narrow attitudes about gender and women's voices in music." We will not be controlled, or oppressed. And as broken as the system is, the one way to affect change is to vote. Push the button. Pull the lever. Affect progress "techically speaking". Every vote counts.    0:22:22 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
Danny & the Parkins Sisters  War (Is On Your Doorstep)   Options Danny and the Parkins Sisters  Chapter Music  2010  Surrounded by the classic SF punk sounds of the Dead Kennedys, Pink Section, Flipper and the like, Danny & the Parkins Sisters opted instead to head in a very different direction. Brash Arizona transplant Danny Vinik and chic, alluring sisters Debra and Beverly Parkins strummed on detuned guitars, banged on whatever was close at hand, and declaimed hilarious, incisive lyrics dissecting the scenes and tribes around them in visceral early 80s San Francisco. We are now at the point where basic human rights for women is at threat. War is on our doorstep and it is time to act. Trade your pink pussy hat for a vote and metaphorical molotov. It's time to fight. Are you gonna fight? The time for complacency is long gone....    0:24:06 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
Kate Bush  Get Out Of My House   Options The Dreaming  Noble and Brite  1982  For this song, It's not about a literal house, haunted or otherwise, and conversely, it's not about mythology or or psychological theory. The house is clearly her, a woman - both her soul and her physical body - and she's "locking out" someone she once loved but now the relationship has failed. The violence of the song may be literal (i.e., physically shutting out a lover who was abusive or has become a stalker) or it may represent a violent internal conflict (i.e., she is fighting her inner temptations to take a lover back when she knows it will not work). Lovers aside, because we as Woman are not ever to be validated by having a partner...the lyrics also apply in a greater sense when we discuss the systemic oppression of women by governments and legislation. Our reproductive rights and autonomy are most precious. It is up to us, the woman, to decide who gets to live in our house...our most sacred house...our bodies.    0:26:44 (MP3 | Pop‑up)

Trupa Trupa  Twitch   Options B FLAT A  Glitterbeat  2022  Trupa Trupa, an independent band from Gdansk, Poland. With B FLAT A this much acclaimed quartet from Gdańsk have produced their most epic and visceral statement to date. A universe where echoes of Can, Syd Barrett and Fugazi lovingly collide. B FLAT A is informed by Nabokov's novel "Bend Sinister" A nod to the Fall? Perhaps...How are we doing? Go Back To Work....One element of the Gdansk band’s music is always there, in plain sight. Trupa Trupa look to confront evil; exploring, in Kwiatkowski’s words, “the wasteland of human nature where hatred and genocide are not just distant reverberations of Central European history but still resonate in contemporary reality.”  *   0:41:39 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
Nixer  People Feel   Options People Feel Single  Nixer  2021  Although relatively new to the music scene, the Nixer sound is fully formed. It could be described as 'New Wave' and is a fusion of vocals, guitar and synths. The duo cite influence in their music from acts such as Boy Harsher, Molchat Doma, King Krule, Fontaines D.C., and The Stone Roses. I wish that they gave more creative and inspiring interview, but at the moment, they don't so let's just let the music do the talking, because the music is pretty good.    0:44:27 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
Sextile  Contortion   Options Modern Weekend/Contortion Single  felte  2022  Defying both conventions and expectations by boldly hurling each out of the window, Los Angeles-based post-punk band Sextile have made an international name for themselves by fusing the raw political kick in the teeth of 70’s punk with the minimalist structures of 80’s synthwave. Following the tragic loss of founding member Eddie Wuebben, Sextile reunited with another former bandmate, Cameron Michel. The time was right to music together once again. This led to the recording of mind-tripping Modern Weekend / Contortion, a two-track EP that navigates the entropy, inertia, and unfiltered exuberance of our digitally and physically divided world—a world that is slowly gathering itself for either a dramatic collision or brand new cohesion. In the two new songs, we hear elements of D.A.F., Surfbort, and Boy Harsher in their sound, as well as The Soft Moon, PIL, Cabaret Voltaire, Cold Cave, and The Pop Group.  *   0:47:16 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
Working Men's Club  Widow   Options Widow Single  Heavenly  2022  “The first album was mostly a personal documentation lyrically, this is a blur between personal and a third-person perspective of what was going on. “I like the contrast of it being happy, uplifting music and really dark lyrics,” he added. “It’s not a minimal record, certainly compared to the first one. That’s because there’s been a lot more going on that needed to be said.”  *   0:50:25 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
Lynks  Hey Joe (Relax)   Options MEN EP  Lynks Corp  2022  Before he was Lynks, Elliott Brett was trying to be capital-S Sad. His music from this period, released under his own name before he transformed into a self-described ‘masked drag monster’, has been variously recounted as indie-pop, dream-pop, and folk. Speaking on the new track, Lynks says, “Hey Joe (Relax) is about bringing a guy you’ve been dating to meet your friends, and suddenly clocking that he’s a complete twat. It’s about the moment where your entire perspective about a man shifts. And you see him for what he is; a devil’s advocating, button pushing, confrontational, edgelord. And it’s suddenly totally unthinkable that you ever wanted to shag him.”    0:54:21 (MP3 | Pop‑up)

"We're engaging with the energy source of the whole universe, we think of it like that. We're playing with a force that is [coming] all the way back from the beginning of life and we feel how profound that is. When we start engaging with creativity and with an understanding of what creativity is, it is like the universe experiencing the act of engaging with itself, as if the experience is suddenly looping back on itself in a way that is very mysterious. That's when it is possible to understand that this is how the whole universe started."

BAMBARA  Birds   Options Love Is On My Mind EP  Wharf Cat  2021  “‘Birds’ compresses the events of many months into three and a half minutes, spanning time when the couple we follow throughout the record are growing closer. On the train, they fall in and out of sleep, reliving shared moments. Then a childhood memory bubbles up to the surface of the protagonist’s mind, revealing his complex relationship to the idea of love.”    1:52:59 (MP3 | Pop‑up)
Dot Allison  Love Died In Our Arms (Lee Scratch Perry RMX)   Options Love Died In Our Arms Single  SA Recordings  2022  Prior to his death, the legendary producer chose the song ‘Love Died In Our Arms’ to add his interpretation, along with his signature dub beats, to make this a truly dynamic mix. When asked about the project, Dot stated that she had reached out to Perry about the remix and production work on her new music. “I contacted Lee to ask if he’d consider doing a mix of ‘Love Died In Our Arms’ and got a lovely reply.” Dot continues, “Perry later confirmed the parts had arrived and the mix was going well. So, I was deeply saddened to hear he’d passed soon after and so soon after we’d been in touch. Naturally, I assumed the mix had not been completed and left it at that. So, I was stunned two days later to hear, from Lee’s wife, that my song had been ‘the last thing in his life that Lee worked on.’ As if that wasn’t enough, she responded to my email a day or so later expressing my gratitude and deepest sympathies by sending the finished mix.  *   1:56:35 (MP3 | Pop‑up)

Stream and donate to Red Cross here: https://belleandsebastian.ffm.to/itsay Belle and Sebastian have pledged to donate all artist income from the song, from streaming and digital sales as well as publishing royalties, to the Red Cross. Donations made via Bandcamp until March 18th will be matched by the UK government as part of the joint appeal with the Disasters Emergency Committee. Donate directly to Red Cross' Ukrainian efforts here: https://www.redcross.org.uk/ukraine From Stuart Murdoch: "When the situation in Ukraine first started to happen it became clear that the lives of the people there, and probably ‘ours’ too, were never going to be the same. The band had just started rolling out tracks for our new album, and it all felt a bit silly to be honest. We had one track called ‘If They’re Shooting At You’, it’s a song about being lost, broken and under threat of violence. The key line is ‘if they’re shooting at you kid you must be doing something right.’ We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and hope that their pain and suffering can be brought to a halt as soon as possible. We got in touch with various photographers and creatives in Ukraine and they generously said that we could put their pictures to music. In creating this we aspire to show a hopeful, defiant side, as well as bringing an awareness to the plight of the people there. We think any way in which we can get behind Ukraine - politically, culturally, practically, spiritually - it must all add up in the end. Together we have to do what it takes to help Ukraine beat this tyranny. Please consider giving to the Disasters Emergency Committee, The Red Cross, or any other humanitarian charity involved in the crisis. If you choose to donate to the Red Cross, please visit here: https://www.redcross.org.uk/ukraine They are part of the joint appeal with the DEC until March 18th, and money donated before then will be matched by the UK government.""  *

Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:31pm Scott67:

Avatar 8:43pm TDK60:

I'm with you. I saw this sign (among many others) at a protest recently. "Abort the Supreme Court, fucking jerks!"
  8:45pm Tyler:

I'm wary of anything involving an appointment for life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:46pm DJ Babs:

I am in agreement there Tyler!!!
  8:49pm Tyler:

This is a nice, urgent number.
Avatar 8:49pm DJ Blush:

This is sick
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49pm DJ Babs:

Yes, I believe they are from Ireland. They give terrible interview but I love it so much!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:50pm Scott67:

Nah Mum!! It only gets dirty again!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm DJ Babs:

This is the tune that's been buzzing in my brain as well!
  8:51pm Tyler:

Tasty! Reminds me of Holger Czukay.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm DJ Babs:

They have made excellent, excellent sound choices for sure!
  8:52pm datafreq:

Hey All !
Saw the comments, I just discovered I have allergies this year, and the last few days have been brutal, so I hear ya !
Hope everyone is having an otherwise allergy free evening 🙂
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53pm DJ Babs:

Hi Datafreq!!! You're just in time for the electro set!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 8:53pm Kat in Chicago:

Lots of good noises in this one, yes

  8:58pm Tyler:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm DJ Babs:

Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:00pm Kat in Chicago:

More than once in my case, didn't learn from my mistakes
Avatar 9:00pm DJ Blush:

Hey Tyler!
  9:01pm Tyler:

Hi Bloosh! :)
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:01pm Kat in Chicago:

That was a while ago though. Long enough that we didn't have the marvelous word "edgelord" yet.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:03pm Scott67:

What is an edgelord?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:03pm Mr Fab:

ha, i was just gonna ask.
Avatar 9:04pm Debbie Davenport:

I love your voices. We have a soft spot in this house for Canadians and their accents.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:05pm Scott67:

Google tells me I am in danger of becoming one!
Avatar 9:05pm laurapanic:

"a person who affects a provocative or extreme persona, especially online (typically used of a man).
"edgelords act like contrarians in the hope that everyone will admire them as rebels""
  9:05pm Tyler:

@Debbie Davenport - we have a street here in Toronto that shares your last name.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:06pm Scott67:

Laura, "No it isn't"!
Avatar 9:08pm Debbie Davenport:

Nice Tyler.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:09pm Mr Fab:

we were talking on the chat yesterday I think, about Johnny "Lydon" Rotten's behavior in recent years, and I'd say that he meets that definition.
Avatar 9:10pm Debbie Davenport:

Totally.
  9:10pm Tyler:

My patience runs out with perpetual contrarians. It accomplishes nothing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:12pm Aitch:

I'm guessing this Matt King is not also Super Hans?(Peepshow)
Avatar 9:12pm laurapanic:

*rolls eyes at Scott* You don't wanna be that guy!!
Avatar 9:12pm TDK60:

rebels w/o a cuz.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:13pm Scott67:

Isn't that just the Alpha Punk attitude meets grumpy old bastard Fab?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:14pm DJ Babs:

No, he is the anti Super Hans...Matt is such a lovely person....tho Super Hans is pretty awesome too LOL
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:15pm DJ Babs:

For those of you not from Toronto, you're going to learn about Toronto!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:16pm Scott67:

Laura, just doing a Python bit mate. I won't shy from confronting ignorance though. Usually it is other blokes I clash with though.
Avatar 9:17pm laurapanic:

I was with your joke, all good oh
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm Aitch:

....or if there's sound effects...
Avatar 9:17pm laurapanic:

my response didn't make that clear....I didn't take enought time with it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18pm Derek Westerholm:

This is our longest interview to date... I hope this is something you are all into... Complete w/ charming neighbourhood sounds!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:18pm Scott67:

Only narcissistic incessant ones Aitch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19pm DJ Babs:

@Debbie wait a hot minute what accent!?!?! Do we really say "abooot?" LOL
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20pm DJ Babs:

I will say that as we did our test stream pre-show there's a slight delay and I caught myself saying "that sounds good EH?!" LOL
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:20pm Scott67:

All good Laura, I got ya! But I don't wanna be that guy either. Cos I'm already a Concern Troll apparently. Whatever the fuck that is?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:21pm DJ Babs:

Speaking of all things Toronto, we were surprised by the new Mike Myers show on Netflix called "The Pentavarate" and it is SOOOO Toronto and Canada it's hilarious! I can't believe it's on Netflix!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:21pm Derek Westerholm:

Apparently we all say "abooot"... I never hear it... But non-Canadians do... Why I can't hear it, I don't know... Maybe I have a bout of boot deafness.
Avatar 9:21pm Debbie Davenport:

Yes! It's beautiful to my ears because it reminds me of Canadians in general. Such a kind bunch. There is a different vibe. My husband can hear the accent better than I can. I only notice the obvious things like the ou sounds. and of course eh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:21pm DJ Babs:

I don't know what you're talking aboot. ;-)
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:22pm Scott67:

It's nice aye!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm DJ Babs:

I love the difference in accents you get from coast to coast too...Personally I think Newfoundlanders are the best! They are also the smartest people in Canada with more Mensa members per capita AND they apparently also have the most sex of all Canadians LOL
Avatar 9:23pm Debbie Davenport:

😄
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:23pm Scott67:

With relatives?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23pm DJ Babs:

look out plane overhead!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:23pm Scott67:

Con trails!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24pm Derek Westerholm:

Patio sounds!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24pm DJ Babs:

@Scott nooo that's Quebec. Possibly Prince Edward Island...everyone there has the same last name, that being "Gallant"
Avatar 9:25pm Debbie Davenport:

I am learning a lot about Canada. You weren't kidding!
  9:25pm Tyler:

Snow Birds rehearsing during the interview :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm DJ Babs:

Our Canadian music scene is always amazing but there is a renaissance of sorts happening and it's very exciting!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm Aitch:

Gallent usually used in the context of "gallant in defeat"
Canucks are nice people, like aussies, but with american accents.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:26pm Scott67:

Oooh Babs! I see some truth in Letterkenny coming through there mate!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28pm DJ Babs:

Oh hells yes. There was also a great series called "Just Passing Through" that was all east coast inside jokes...what was cool is that there was a show inside the show...called "Pogey Beach" (because lots of fishermen go on unemployment on the pogey during off season)...and then they made a movie based on Pogey Beach and it was hilarious too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28pm DJ Babs:

So True Aitch!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:28pm Scott67:

I could hang in Canada, if it weren't so bloody freezing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29pm DJ Babs:

The PEI Gallant pronounce it with the emphasis on the end..kinda like Gall-aunt
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29pm DJ Babs:

And yes, I do love Canada but jesus I dunno about those winters we have. This one was INTENSE. SO MUCH SNOW
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30pm DJ Babs:

We had a pile of snow in front of our house that was taller than Derek!!! We didn't even know where the fuck to put that snow!
Avatar 9:31pm Debbie Davenport:

I love snow! As long as a have a warm home to go to when I'm doing shoveling.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:31pm Mr Fab:

Derek, practice pronouncing "about" to rhyme with "shout"! Then you'll hear it.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:31pm Scott67:

Mail it to Australia Babs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:32pm DJ Babs:

I swear I do pronounce it to rhyme with Shout...Derek...I cannot speak for!
Avatar 9:33pm Debbie Davenport:

😄
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33pm Aitch:

I've only ever been in snow a few times
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33pm Aitch:

Heard you both aboot so far
  9:34pm Tyler:

People frequently think Canadians sound like the people in 'Fargo'. I don't hear it. Obviously people in Quebec & the Maritimes have some local accents, but still never heard a Canadian say 'aboot'.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:34pm Mr Fab:

Derek's pronunciation practice: HAHA!
Avatar 9:35pm Debbie Davenport:

yeah that was fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:38pm DJ Babs:

we'll keep working on that pronounciation!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39pm DJ Babs:

I liked that last remix it was very Kraftwerk!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:40pm Kat in Chicago:

I did too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:40pm DJ Babs:

@Tyler I think that we definitely don't sound like Fargo...but it's close...maybe those in the prairies do are a bit closer to it tho!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm DJ Babs:

This project he's about to talk about is really cool!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:43pm DJ Babs:

THE VOMIT COMET!!!
  9:43pm Tyler:

The Bathurst Bus also is a contender for Vomit Comet status :)
  9:44pm Tyler:

The bus that you wake up on at Steeles at the crack of dawn - see George Westerholm. :)
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:45pm Mr Fab:

"Fargo" is the Midwestern accent, which is definitely a thing. When we visit my wife's homeland of Chicago, even her Mexican friend sounds like Marge. "Oh hi-eeee! How are yooooo!" Or the SNL skits about the Chicago guys talkin 'bout da Bulls and da Bears.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45pm Derek Westerholm:

Tyler, that's a very good point. I've talked to many different bus drivers in the city, and none of them want that route. (Like, any route that has recurring vomiters.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45pm DJ Babs:

lol Tyler it's true George did write a song about waking up on the last bus. It's a terrible feeling. Nobody should ever end up on LOWER WARDEN AVENUE
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46pm DJ Babs:

Ironically I was born very near lower warden avenue LOL
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46pm DJ Babs:

I love all American Accents! Regional dialects are super cool.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:47pm Scott67:

I had a bus ride like that when I lived in Tasmania! The last service for the night & Driver really wanted to knock off. Winding hilly coastal road. I was sliding side to side across the vinyl rear seat like a cartoon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm DJ Babs:

I think we're gonna run over tonight guys because I still have songs I wanna play lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm Derek Westerholm:

Gonna be mentioning Steeles Ave. soon in this interview... I lived up there for about a year, at Steeles just East of Yonge (literally the house east of the bus loop... I would watch the drivers take their breaks... All night long, if I chose to.)
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:49pm Scott67:

Over is our bonus Babs!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49pm DJ Babs:

Got a couple of pretty cool tracks for sure! One in particular is quite special!
Avatar 9:51pm Debbie Davenport:

Babs, visiting cousins in Arkansas and Alabama was interesting. They thought my Californian accent was pretty out there too. They mocked me in a slow whiney way while saying "Hey you guys".
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:51pm Mr Fab:

no one's after you, so go for it (if you don't mind the archive possiibly getting cut off)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51pm DJ Babs:

naww we don't mind if the archive gets cut off, we will plow onwards...I'm presenting at a conference tomorrow but MEH RADIO MORE IMPORTANT LOL
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52pm DJ Babs:

Debbie I have so many many fond memories of my times in LA...such wild and crazy times for sure!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:53pm Mr Fab:

You visited LA, Babs? When was the last time you were here?
Avatar 9:53pm Debbie Davenport:

💞
  9:54pm Tyler:

BREAKADAWN!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:54pm Zipperhead7:

Avatar 9:56pm Debbie Davenport:

It is good. I love WFMU!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm Derek Westerholm:

Zipperhead, the track was How To Paint Clouds (Zones Remix)
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:57pm Zipperhead7:

yeah, Debbit, this is church
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm Derek Westerholm:

^ By Absolutely Free
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm Derek Westerholm:

If you meant the instrumental one at the end of the interview & under our voice
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:58pm Mr Fab:

Sorry, I missed part of the interview. Did Zappa come up? First thing I think of when I see the phrase "Absolutely Free"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm Derek Westerholm:

HE WAS WEARING A FRANK ZAPPA SHIRT DURING THE INTERVIEW... FAB... PSYCHIC!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00pm Derek Westerholm:

We talked about Frank Zappa for a while before the interview, but not during it.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:00pm Zipperhead7:

Mr. Fab does great work
archive.org...
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:00pm Mr Fab:

Ah, so the choice of name was perhaps no accident.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00pm DJ Babs:

So this remix is the very last thing that Lee Scratch Perry did before he died...which is so heavy!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:01pm Mr Fab:

Ha, thanks for link, Zipperhead7. Just today I was diggin up misc. old tracks for possible upload.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:02pm Kat in Chicago:

That's amazing. Dot Allison's "Strung Out" is a fave on the mothership, someone needs to start playing this one over there
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:02pm Mr Fab:

Wow, what a song to work on when you die, with a title like that!
  10:04pm Tyler:

This is very soothing.
