The violence of the song may be literal (i.e., physically shutting out a lover who was abusive or has become a stalker) or it may represent a violent internal conflict (i.e., she is fighting her inner temptations to take a lover back when she knows it will not work). Lovers aside, because we as Woman are not ever to be validated by having a partner...the lyrics also apply in a greater sense when we discuss the systemic oppression of women by governments and legislation. 	9:21pm Debbie Davenport: Yes! It's beautiful to my ears because it reminds me of Canadians in general. Such a kind bunch. There is a different vibe. My husband can hear the accent better than I can. I only notice the obvious things like the ou sounds. and of course eh.

There was also a great series called "Just Passing Through" that was all east coast inside jokes...what was cool is that there was a show inside the show...called "Pogey Beach" (because lots of fishermen go on unemployment on the pogey during off season)...and then they made a movie based on Pogey Beach and it was hilarious too!
