	3:07pm Kathy: Last week I commented here about a book Sheila B had recommended (“Four Thousand Weeks, Time Management for Mortals,” by Oliver Burkeman) and I didn’t get a chance to reply to someone’s question on what it was about. In case they’re on here today: it’s NOT one of those annoying self help books with questionnaires, exercises and rules about scheduling and being more productive with our time. It’s way deeper (and simpler!) than that - basically, it’s truly accepting your own death, knowing you’ll never finish your to do list and you can’t control everything. Sounds a little unnerving, but it’s actually liberating. We don’t have to look at how time is structured and how the world works and do things “the way it’s always been done.” It’s about slowing down, being reflective, and editing to simplify our lives so we can make conscious choices that align with what we really love and want to experience in our finite time here. The time is now. Thanks again Sheila B and WFMU for making the cut in my life!

	3:07pm Kathy: Last week I commented here about a book Sheila B had recommended (“Four Thousand Weeks, Time Management for Mortals,” by Oliver Burkeman) and I didn’t get a chance to reply to someone’s question on what it was about. In case they’re on here today: it’s NOT one of those annoying self help books with questionnaires, exercises and rules about scheduling and being more productive with our time. It’s way deeper (and simpler!) than that - basically, it’s truly accepting your own death, knowing you’ll never finish your to do list and you can’t control everything. Sounds a little unnerving, but it’s actually liberating. We don’t have to look at how time is structured and how the world works and do things “the way it’s always been done.” It’s about slowing down, being reflective, and editing to simplify our lives so we can make conscious choices that align with what we really love and want to experience in our finite time here. The time is now. Thanks again Sheila B and WFMU for making the cut in my life!
