A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Peace
Some days a person finds exactly what they need on this station.
Today is one of those days.
I will need more of whatever you're playing.
Hope to see you soon, TDK60!
merci@ pale son
But my top level FAV is DotDash on Friday mornings...
I am a fan or the ambient krautrock kosmichemusik and jazz and Miles' electric albums from the 70s.
Best to make the most of it when the doors re-open and do something worthwhile that you love...Like volunteering!
I am on my way to WFMU now, to help rescue your t-shirts from the boxes they've been trapped in lo these many weeks
@ChukAmok: Thanks for that. I deleted twitter two days ago.
Pete Cosey was on Muddy Waters' "Electric Mud" album too.
Dark Magus was a life-changing album for me..
Stopped with my son on the west side of Astoria Park by the pool upon hearing a woodpecker going at it. Up there overhead one was going at it for a bit. Thought it was kind of rare for these parts but I wouldn’t know. Pretty neat for us.
Returned from grocery shopping this morning feeling distinctly apocalyptic. Price gouging going on and shelves empty. Some things bought last week are up 25 fucking percent!
Read an interesting piece recently by someone from SE Asia where the country’s in a state of collapse, cautioning people that a collapsed state doesn’t look like a sci-fi movie but a more banal acceptance of more and more deprivation, suffering, institutional/infrastructure breakdowns and
inaccessibility as a new normal. As far as I can see there’s been abundant evidence of that all.
This is how revolutions start in earnest.
All my European friends for years were fond of saying that people are too soft and pampered to entertain seriously any thoughts of action, that is, until people are hungry.
We may be at the doorstep soon, folks.
Just about time to gather in solidarity to make some trouble about it, doncha think?

Making sense again, Zinn!
Personally , I couldn’t be happier if the empire flops dead. Enough carnage and pillage around the world, just so we can have cheap disposable toys stuffed into our attics and basements. It’ll be because we never stopped to think that so much that was being produced by cheap slave labor across the globe (often by children too).
There’s some comeuppance coming.
Thanks again.
Zinn, that looks very cool! I'm going to see Guerilla Toss at TV Eye tomorrow night, and then K8's big benefit for the National Network for Abortion Funds is Sat. night at Purgatory:
Rock and ROTFLMAO:
Four bands, all luminaries from the NYC feminist punk and postpunk scene, three comedians, raffles, prizes, and more! Lineups and URL for tix are in my profile.

Will check your profile for more deets…
Cool stuff as always, Trouble. Vocal on this “Black Rainbows” track reminded me for a moment of Craig from Shudder To Think.
Many thanks, Trouble! Really wish I could join you on Sat. Next time! Great show today.
Stay Troubled, everyone.
@Special_Vessels: That's awesome! Can't imagine scooping up records in Porto Novo (hard for me to imagine venturing farther afield than the Meadowlands these days!).
