Avatar 2:05pm MOM WHIG:

Avatar 2:06pm MOM WHIG:

Eric - how's the shoulder today??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm Frank In Queens:

Hey hey!
  2:06pm ChrisB.:

What’s Shakin’, JoeB?
Avatar 2:06pm Joe B:

hey Frank!
Avatar 2:07pm Joe B:

Hey Chris!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm Eric R:

Mom, I'll need to get it looked at this coming week. I think it will end my major league baseball aspirations
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm Woo:

Tommy John surgery?
Avatar 2:08pm MOM WHIG:

Eric only if you throw right-handed - what about playing guitar. I'm a lefty - but sports are right handed for me.
Avatar 2:08pm MOM WHIG:

Hey there Frank in Q's, Chris B
Avatar 2:10pm MOM WHIG:

Woo Tommy John is 78 - Eric's way way younger than him
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10pm Eric R:

I'm lefty all the way. But if a hard hit ball is coming my way I'd need to move my right arm quickly to "glove" the spheroid.
  2:11pm Rich Haley:

Hey Joe, MOM, music lovers
Avatar 2:11pm Joe B:

well Tommy John was only 31 when he had the surgery!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm patrick321:

hey Rich! thanks for being here
Avatar 2:11pm MOM WHIG:

Rich Haley - happy TGIF to you
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm Woo:

MOM WHIG and I just read that TJ surgery is for the elbow. I realized I didn't actually know what it was, just liked the name. I had a Tommy John baseball card in my youth.
Avatar 2:11pm Joe B:

welcome patrick
Avatar 2:12pm MOM WHIG:

Hi there patrick321

  2:13pm Myron Feld:

@Frank: what’s your overall rating of UBS Arena, taking into account sight lines, seat comfort, pricing, parking, and anything else? I haven’t been yet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm Frank In Queens:

Avatar 2:15pm MOM WHIG:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm Woo:

and to you MOM WHIG!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm Frank In Queens:

@myron, I love the place! Sight lines, comfort, and amenities are all a 10. It's a little pricey for food, but not awful. Parking sucks unless you have a parking pass. Otherwise it's $40 for hockey games and a long walk from your car to the arena and back for the lot you have to park in without a pass. That should be a little better next year when the parking garage is completed and operational.
Avatar 2:18pm Joe B:

considering the who gig at UBS in October. haven't been for a game yet
  2:22pm Myron Feld:

@Frank: thanks! I’m gonna go next season. Lifelong NYR fan but I’ll go when the Flyers are in and root for the Isles. Or wait for a Coyotes game when plenty of good seats will be available.
Avatar 2:26pm MOM WHIG:

Joe great tunes so far
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm Frank In Queens:

@myron, after this season, there will probably be plenty of good seats for most games next season! Glad I sold my seats for last night...
Avatar 2:28pm Joe B:

thanks Mom
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm Frank In Queens:

@Joe, I haven't been to a concert there yet. BTW will you be at TV Eye tonight?

Avatar 2:30pm Joe B:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm Frank In Queens:

That Denims single is on my want list.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm Frank In Queens:

An anti-drug song by a band called "The Bumps"?
Avatar 2:34pm Hackensack Slim:

Hey Joe, You gonna be at Elsewhere on Saturday?
Avatar 2:35pm Joe B:

Avatar 3:24pm Fatherflot:

The Mosrite Fuzz-Rite pedal, I believe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm Listener Wolfgang:

I fancy Fancy a lot
Avatar 3:28pm Joe B:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm efd:

This single is in the efd Heirloom Collection!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm efd:

(as I've taken to calling the singles that belonged to my parents when I was a kid)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm efd:

the flip side is also great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm Woo:

Bobby rocks
Avatar 3:31pm Fatherflot:

Vaughn Meader? You know I found a bit of audio in the WFMU archives from the 1963 fund drive where they are all doing bad Kennedy accents a la Vaughn Meader.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm efd:

Chip Taylor, not Vaughn Meader
Avatar 3:32pm Joe B:

@efd - core artist?
Avatar 3:32pm Fatherflot:

It was quite a viral comedy thing for a while.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm efd:

scratch that, I was thinking of the writing credit on the single! It was the Hardly Worthit Players, with Bill Minkin among others
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm Gaylord Fields:

Sorry to see you don't respect the Equal Time Rule by giving Sen. Everett Dirksen his say, Joe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm efd:

@Gaylord surely you meant Sen. Everett McKinley
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm Gaylord Fields:

@efd: One and the same person: Everett McKinley Dirksen. See, politicians were tricky that way back then. Not like now.
Avatar 3:40pm Joe B:

ha fair point gaylord. maybe a slot for pat paulsen
Avatar 3:41pm Fatherflot:

EMD as he was known by the wags in the newsreel theaters. . .
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm efd:

Huh, I never realized after all these years! Weird that the record leaves off “Dirksen!”
  3:42pm Matt Clarke:

Hey Joey B n Shakers!
Avatar 3:43pm WLSClark:

Matt Clarke!! How's Carnaby Street doing?
Avatar 3:43pm Joe B:

hey Matt! hope your trip is fun!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Woo:

Dirksen has a building named after him in the Chicago Loop: The Everett McKinley Dirksen United States Courthouse, commonly referred to as the Dirksen Federal Building, is a skyscraper in the Chicago Loop. It was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and completed in 1964.
Avatar 3:44pm WLSClark:

Joe, Fatherflot, Gaylord, late to the party. A warm day so was mowing and tilling today and just got in all sweaty.
Avatar 3:45pm WLSClark:

HOLLLLLIES! A great B side. Sorry I missed my idol Emitt and the Luv'd Ones too!
Avatar 3:45pm Joe B:

my long planned harmonica to harmonica segue
Avatar 3:45pm Fatherflot:

Hi WLSClark. Thanks for stopping by last night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm Gaylord Fields:

@efd: It's for the same reason the plug side leaves off the "Kennedy," I suspect.
Avatar 3:45pm WLSClark:

Woo, I am trying to sell Dirkson's hit with pic sleeve on recent auction list. No takers.
  3:46pm Matt Clarke:

@Clark: No Carnaby this time around but checked in on Sir Paul

@Joey B: Having a nice time! Hope all is well
