Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:03pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - My pleasure :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

We're getting a bit spooky this week ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm Mr Fab:

ooh i like spooky!
Avatar 3:05pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Is there a difference bewteen DWSLP and DWLP?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@Mr Fab - You're in for a treat then! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - I *think* so ... not quite sure what yet ;-)
Avatar 3:06pm Paper Kosmonaut:

I do have some Dewolfe albums, but in the DWSLP section I only have DWSLP 3398. "Tumbling Dice".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I went on a bit of a De Wolfe binge on my holidays - got very inspired so expect more De Wolfe/Studio G next week :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - I'm wondering if maybe the s is a special issue?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm Mr Fab:

Was in Las Vegas last weekend, showing my daughter all the various theme hotels (medieval, Paris, Egypt, Old West, etc) and she said there should be a vampire one. e.g.:, the lobby would be like a cave.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@Mr Fab - That would be IMMENSE!! I would love that :-)
Avatar 3:08pm Paper Kosmonaut:

@ GG: Might be. I also don't know. I just collect what I can get online. And I limit my collection to the 1960s and 1970s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - Those really are the golden years :-) Although the 80s are full of the most incredible synth :-)
Avatar 3:10pm Paper Kosmonaut:

@GG: I am more into the older moog synth and analog sounds, I think. Crippled dick-style, funky organs and all that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - Crippled Dick brought out some outstanding albums :-)
Avatar 3:11pm Paper Kosmonaut:

@GG: yeah and it was funny to discover lots of it was from older library albums.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - There were all these compilations that came out in the 90s in the loungecore boom and I kept hearing ll this "incidental music" that I recognised from my childhood but never realised was this thing called Library Music until then :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

LANGUAGE, MADAM!!
Avatar 3:15pm Paper Kosmonaut:

There is one 80's KPM album I really like because all of the songs o side 1 are very well made soundalikes of early 1980 hits.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - Oh! Which one?
Avatar 3:17pm Paper Kosmonaut:

BRH 15 "Street Level". It has a Kids in America, a Girls On Film and a Human League soundalike which just are wonderful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - Ah! That's a Bruton :-) Fabulous label, and I know the one you mean :-)
Avatar 3:17pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Oh shoot it was Bruton.
Avatar 3:18pm Paper Kosmonaut:

I was searching in my KPM folder before I went to Bruton.
Avatar 3:18pm Paper Kosmonaut:

@GG: this sound it what I mean, This is what I like. That fuzz is awesome.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - I know what you mean :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

De Wolfe (apart from some exceptions) seem to me to be the harder edged library music. :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

You still get super commercial music throughout all the library labels, but they do all have their own styles. Which is extraordinary when you consider how many people like The Hawk etc worked on all of them at one time :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm flannery:

helllooooo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Mr Fab:

puttin the 'fun' in funKAY
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Brian in UK:

Hello Georgy & modern folk. Hope you enjoyed your break by the seaside!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Hi there flannery!! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@Mr Fab - Gettin' DOWN! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm Brian in UK:

PK, nothing like some awesome fuzz.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Brian!!! Hello, my lovely one!! And thank you once again for your much-appreciated surprise :-) x
Avatar 3:23pm Paper Kosmonaut:

3375. Another number I need to look out for.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - Would you like a copy? :-)
Avatar 3:24pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Would I? (-:
Avatar 3:25pm Paper Kosmonaut:

yes please!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - I'll pop that over to you tomorrow :-)
Avatar 3:25pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Can I do you a favour with BRH 15, then?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - I already have that ;-) But thank you! <3
Avatar 3:27pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Oh. All right.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - I just looked at it while we were talking, and aptly named "Generation Gap" :-)
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 3:30pm WR:

What's this? Future mythos?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Hello WR!! :-)
Avatar 3:31pm Paper Kosmonaut:

This kind of tunes is great too. It has that fashionable spy series vibe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - Yes! Even the title sounds like a movie. Which it may very well have been!
Avatar 3:33pm Paper Kosmonaut:

lots of this stuff was actually written for movies and ended up on library albums. The Italians also were pumping them out like sausages.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - Oh now the Italians ... I have a very VERY soft spot for Italian library music as you know :-) Just complete and utter <chef's kiss> <3
Avatar 3:35pm Paper Kosmonaut:

@GG: Indeed. And very much so.
  3:35pm David in London:

Wotcha GG. A belated hello.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

David in LO!!! Hello, my lovely one!! :-)
Avatar 3:35pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Good tune for late night driving, this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - I got goosebumps when I first heard this :-)
Avatar 3:36pm Paper Kosmonaut:

@GG : I can relate to that.
  3:37pm David in London:

Quite apposite that I’m driving into London in my silver E-Type Jag then...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I have a biography of the KLF and there is a long passage about the fabled 23 Line in that. How it stretches from Brighton to the Isle of Jura via Liverpool and thus looms large in the KLF's history :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@David in LO - Nice!!! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@David in LO - Perfect Jag music I'd say ;-)
  3:40pm David in London:

Does it mention the soup making and that line, GG?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm Mr Fab:

this is like the Maggot Brain of library music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@David in LO - It's been a while since I read it ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@Mr Fab - My God that is the perfect description!!
Avatar 3:42pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Good one, Mr. Fab!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

That was quite the track that "Reflections" :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

The best description I ever read of Brighton was "30 square miles of madness surrounded by real life" ;-)
  3:44pm David in London:

The musical cuts are A1 tonight, GG.

I did a psychogeographic tour of Spare’s locations round Kennington and the Elephant some years back. Faint traces at best.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@David in LO - When I'm London again you HAVE to take me on one of those! I have been longing to do some psychogeography tours of London!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@David in LO - And thank you! <3
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

This is one of my fave library tracks :-)
Avatar 3:48pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Indeed fabulous tuney tunes. Groovey and, well, like, far out, as kids today happen to say.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - Too right, man ;-)
  3:49pm David in London:

Would be my pleasure GG.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@David in LO - :-) <3
Avatar 3:50pm Paper Kosmonaut:

this track is indeed fantastic!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@David in LO - Crossbones is one of my favourite places in London :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - Another goosebump one for me! :-)
Avatar 3:52pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Glammy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - It's getting very glitter rock, isn't it? ;-)
  3:53pm SW:

This show has the feel of sitting in the corner of a coffee shop listening to a group of gothy witches talking about witchy goth business
Avatar 3:53pm Mike Rogers:

Hi DJGG san!
  3:53pm David in London:

GG, can you arrange it so that this track plays every time I walk into a room please?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Hi SW!!! That sounds perfect to me!! I'll have to put that on a t-shirt ;-)
Avatar 3:54pm Paper Kosmonaut:

meatball, groundunder, atomic butterfly...What is not glittery and glammy. Bolanesque guitar licks..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Hello Mike, my lovely!! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@David in LO - Consider it done, my lovely :-)
  3:54pm SW:

😁
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@PK - It's fab, isn't it? :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

One more track and then ...
Stay tuned for the wonderful flannery after me - www.wfmu.org...

Avatar 3:55pm Paper Kosmonaut:

rather great, indeed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

This is pretty bloody awesome as well :-)
  3:56pm David in London:

And a tip of the hat to the great Discordian Claudia Boulton, who passed away recently.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@David in LO - Indeed! A glass is raised!
Avatar 3:57pm Paper Kosmonaut:

GG, this was a great show with awesome tunes and some good right words with some nice namedropping about Brighton.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

And that is your lot for this week, my lovelies :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm DJ GeorgyGirl:
