Ha! Franco, yeah, I'm not sure I really identified as a punk either, though I did go to a lot of shows and hung out in some of the circles. Mostly I was just music geek and thought of it as sort of avant-garde or something. It was all pretty exciting, though I was never the biggest fan of the testosterone fueled or anthemic punk rock. Artsy was more my speed.

One moment of nostalgia, then it's off to bed. In 1977 there was a short live AM station in L.A. that had all the comic overdrive associated with that vanished form. One afternoon I was driving down The San Bernardino Freeway and God Save The Queen came on. It was at that moment when The Sex Pistols couldn't stay out of the news. It was pure screaming at the top of my lungs pleasure. A cherished radio moment. It only happened once, and BOOM the station was gone.
