Thank you, sir. They all say you have a Rubber Soul, but I do not believe it!

WLSClark...I just noticed the avatar...I love Uncle Lar...I discovered him 30 years ago when I traded some L.A. radio airchecks with Tom Konrad and Aircheck Factory...he was hilarious...without being obnoxious.
Avatar 6:07pm
sw2442:

Thanks WLSClark...I don't, but then again, I don't have Mick Jagger's and Paul McCartney's soulful voices.

WLSClark:

sw, he was obnoxious actually but how I loved his shows! I taped off his shows as early as 1967 on WLS. Tomhad an earlier KJR Seattle tape that was great to get too. Poor Tom succumbed about a year ago. So sad. He was happy and such a good friend.

Looking forward to "Good Weather Machine", which has the archtypal Paul Leka elements.

Yeah WLSClark...Tom and I had a correspondence for about ten years. I heard about Tom's passing by a group member of a radio group on FB that I'm part of. I'm just wondering what's gonna become of Tom's vast radio aircheck archives...hopefully some good.

WLSClark:

I think his airchecks were STILL here in the US somewhere. He spent years transferring them to mini discs and started selling off the originals of which I bought many I wanted. Today, I cherish those.
Avatar 6:23pm
WLSClark:

Great Pete Cetera singing here. Think of Rain upcoming by Claudine is GREAT!
Avatar 6:24pm
WLSClark:

David, this has a Lemon Pipers sound to it. Nice!
Avatar 6:28pm
David in California:

Yes, Clark, I agree. Andrew did a great show of Paul Leka produced songs.
Avatar 6:28pm
sw2442:

WLSClark...good to see some of Tom's original airchecks are in safe hands. I wonder if there are any left...would you know where?...I'd love to own some.

Hey Andrew, can you still find vintage Big Beat in Spain? When I was there in the 60s the teenagers I knew were really proud of Los Brincos.
Avatar 6:57pm
WLSClark:

sw, sorry, was gone a bit. I do NOT know where his tapes are. He mentioned something once that made me think they are in the south US like carolinas, but dont remember why I think that now. I'd like to buy more too!
Avatar 6:57pm
David in California:

Frank, Andrew may not be listening today. This is a repeat of a program he made in 2010.

WLSClark...I know Tom's website Yesterdial is still up, but I'm not sure if it's been updated recently. I'm thankful I still the many cassettes I got from him. I'll have to do some detective work...thanks!

WLSClark:

Yes, I had saved a stack of checks to show him one day.

Frank, he still makes new shows. He's off touring with Micky Dolenz now, but he'll be back. You could click on the link to his playlists and see if any of the show titles mention Los Brincos.
