@RRNov63, what's up with the U.S. Pluto Return? Is it today or Feb. 22nd? I'm not that into astrology and know you are.

Hey Joe ; )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@Sally: Yes, the USA *just* had its 1st (~248 year) ♇Pluto Return going by the 4th July, 1776 Chart. A 'Return' in Astrology is when something comes back to where it was when you were born / in any Chart. Your Birthday every year for instance correlates to your ⦿Solar Return. It happens that this is how long ♇Pluto takes. ♇Pluto correlates to collective power & wealth, the underworld & the deeply hidden, thorough death & rebirth / transformation ...what completing an entire Cycle here means for the USA will obviously be up for interpretation.
  3:15pm Robm:

@Nate K better then watching the news about Ukraine

@RRN63, Thank you! I'm up for collective rebirth and transformation...
  3:18pm BTD:

Good stuff Nate K!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@Sally: I think in recent years the true factual history & foundations of the USA have been brought into the light for focus somewhat... for example. We might expect the question of whether we really are a Democracy - or a Plutocracy - to be relevant in this time...♇Pluto also correlates to the deepest desires & will. & - mass destruction & apocalypse in some ways... Would obviously be relevant this context to examine & consider (con - sider: 'by the stars') what ♇Pluto is doing in the USA's Chart in the 1st place...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@Robm: If this is truly a Free Market & a level playing field economically - why is a FreeForm utterly Listener Supported station like WFMU literally unique on all of planet Earth ? This is not hyperbole...
  3:33pm Robm:

@Juli howdy
@RRN63 thanks was just wondering, dud not want to start a list fight with anyone here

I used to watch "Where The Action Is" in '65-66. to get back to the playlist, Paul Revere & The Raiders rocked this 11-year old's world!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm mt1111:

Nate K. your show is rockin!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@Robm: FMU may technically be Incorporated - but it is essentially the diametric opposite of the ubiqitous commercial Corporate (meaning literally given a body, as if it were an entity like a real person) - which is to say Plutonic - & overwhelming norm. Its existence is, in other words, precisely the exception that proves the rule.
  3:41pm Robm:

@RRN63 gotcha now I understand, ok going back to lurking
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Raiders willingness to Goof cannot belie how unfailingly great their Records & Performance were. Maybe even that was Punk too...
Avatar 3:46pm Juli:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm mt1111:

Don't you love that FMU is listed to and supported all over the world? Marathon is coming!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm mt1111:

Are any of them still alive?
  3:50pm Robm:

@MT111 i think we have listeners from Russia too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm Nate K.:

@mt1111, I have a healthy enough distance to the Raiders to appreciate them for precisely what they are.

  3:53pm Carmichael:

Mark Lindsey does the oldies circuit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm mt1111:

Makes sense about Mark Lindsey. Are BF from Portland ME?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm Sweet Corn Lizzie:

Back in the day I worshiped the Doors and sort of liked the Paul Revere & the Raiders but now I find the Doors meh and really like the Raiders.
  3:55pm Robm:

@Carmichael thought mark Lindsay died?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Raiders vs. doors seems a strawman debate to me... Always loved both.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm Sweet Corn Lizzie:

Friend who went to college at University of Oregon in Eugene said the Raiders would run around the campus in costume.
  3:57pm Carmichael:

Unless it was in the last 2 years or so. I was in a house band that backed him and others, about 5 years ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm mt1111:

Well the Doors were Rock Gods but PR&THR were forgotten to some degree.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm JohnEBGood:

The Doors were played all the time in 1980 when I was in college.
  3:58pm Robm:

@Carmichael let me check something out
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm Chili MacPagoda:

Totally agree about the Raiders. Found a copy of Just Like Us! recently and that sucker got a half dozen loud spins yesterday. They nail down that ‘66 fuzz n farfisa sound, great stuff
  4:00pm Robm:

@Carmichael it was paul revere not mark Lindsay
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm mt1111:

Yes totally agree chili!
  4:00pm ledzeppelinsucks:

2/22/22 is Taco Tuesday and National Margarita Day. The ultimate trifecta of bullshit. It is the Taco Tuesday Trifuckta.
  4:00pm Carmichael:

Raiders outlasted the Doors, I think. Their sound is timeless, unlike that Doors 70s snapshot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02pm mt1111:

Do I detect some Doors-hate in here?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...an interesting contrast, ok - one a purveyor of muscular but Chart directed PopRawk with a willingness to Goof & plenty of humor - the other an honestly profound but yes somewhat ponderous & maybe even self-important but outstanding group - highly influential & indispensable. Morrison cannot be dismissed as exceptional Singer, Writer or Performer. Personal quality time - maybe another matter... Interesting that in 1966 & parts of '67 the two might have inhabited the same universe to a degree - & then appealing Pop & meaningful Rawk supposedly had some kind of Divorce ...One doesn't think of the Raiders in terms of Albums, for instance. But yeah - they make it on Nuggets no problem...
  4:06pm ledzeppelinsucks:

2/22/22 is another bible thumped target for apocalypse. Why would god give a crap about Taco Tuesday?

Avocado embargo on National Margarita Day will spark the 2/22/22 Taco Tuesday Apocolypse Riots. Only a hippie dressed in a white bath robe and Crocs could manage that.
