They were talking about scammers on pseu show and I didn't get a chance to ask her if this particular scammer walked right up to her stuck his hand right out for her to shake, and if he didn't he just held it there until she did.   4:07pm Tony:

@Niall, it seemed like people starting calling people "folks" a lot during the George W. Bush era, but I don't hear it as much now.
  4:08pm pnuthead:

That Curran track reminded me of Ghédalia Tazartès a little bit. That was good...

This noise song sucks. Is this a pest deterrent?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm Gordel:

I still say "guys" as in "you guys" when addressing a group of people irrespective of its makeup. That said I do use "folks" when talking in the third person about a group of people, also irrespective of makeup. Would feel weird calling people "folks" to their face.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 4:18pm Niall:

@?!: When I hear someone say "folks," like "for all the folks out there," I immediately assume they're trying to sell me something, or sell me on something. Especially in political speak.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 4:18pm Niall:

Just a personal "shields up," I guess.
