Listener comments!
👍😎👣🐾🎶📻🌞🌏
so cool to
hear you on the airwaves again :)
...Either emulate the regular FMU-J's style - exceeding or @ least meeting a celebrated specialist @ their own game
...or - utterly dazzle us with something completely different & thrilling to a most discerning conglomerate of distinctive listeners
- w/ something new & unexpected on an entire station of truly extraordinary & unremittingly exceptional Musics & Culture...
Either way - no pressure !...
and . . .
do you have any tractor music?
Oh yeah Carmichael, gotta have some Diamond. Neil OR King.
👍😎🌈💜💛💚❤💙
(and hi)
this is Saturday night
this is a super 88, '61
i don't know them so well
i actually know a little girl named Zephyr
duh
he picked us up in it once or twice.
that was embarrassing
👋🏼
pretty damned ugly! but i think it might have cool tail lights?
Only seventeen 💔💔💔
??!!!
been away from the keyboard mostly, happy to be here listening with y'all 😻😻😻
oh goodness, yes -- even though when i was a kid i really did not "get" the lyrics (& yup i still have the 45)
definitely dive deep into Cosmic Wheels :)
discogs.com/master/6643-Donovan-Cosmic-Wheels
- i'm never going outside again.
i had tickets to see Donovan at The Open Center (i guess around the time it was released?) (and when The Open Center was still on Spring Street!) -- was going to go with a friend but last minute family emergency, and i could not go -- so i gave both tickets to him, asked him to please take a friend (i think it was sold out at this point) -- but not sure if he went -- "but I wanted to go with you!"
led zeppelin, beatles... cream?
maybe it's my fault it's underrated.
apology accepted :-)
same here in NYC area, every kid wanting to be a "famous" artist, actor, singer, whatever (well, accept for the trust fund kids who do not have to worry about such frivolous things like actually making a living)
btw, AMAZING playground! if that was near me, i would totally be going there every day too!
...like much of 80s music it could be salvaged with a cheezy synthesizer-deleting device... which i'm working on
yes, i remember being a teenager and always looking for those etchings in LPs, 45s, etc. -- & would be all disappointed if there were none!
hiya slugluv!
...there was an overnight wfmu showhost in the 80s that asked people to call in with interesting etchings on their records. i called, and we talked for at least 10 minutes!
called back later with more, since hardly anyone was calling.
Probably Nick Hill?
to be honest, i recorded it!
but i have about 1500 cassettes and i don't know which one
Nick always answered the phone and loved to talk.
I TOTALLY agree!
FALLING, SHIRLEY - EVERYTIME I SQUARE OFF AGAINST SOMEONE'S GOD...
I SPEND THE REST OF THE NIGHT (OR DAY) HALLUCINATING...
AND NOW IT IS THE VISIONS OF A JOYOUS HELL...
...WITHIN THE CIRCUITS THAT MAKE PAC-MEN DIE AND VESSELS DISINTEGRATE
i also am smart enough to know that not liking something doesn't make one a snob.
and Frightwig!!! saw them open for the Butthole Surfers at Maxwell's -- one in our group described them as "like Barbie on bad acid" -- but i loved them!
Thank you Jack for the fill in show, and the tunes!!! be well everyone!!!
then i met her whilst volunteering at a record fair - and her husband too.
the real kicker is that her husband was (is) also a show host that think very fondly of.
Listening tonight and saying wait this isn’t Marty66
