Me too Mr. Fab. I thought I used to be able to listen to the sheena stream and have it roll into this show. but now seems like I need to click on it exactly at showtime.

Hi Kitten and kats! 90 degrees.

Carmichael: imagining a David Soul fan buying this album by mistake.

Hey, maybe they'd like it! Could be a life-changing thing.
Avatar 6:05pm
Kitten Sparkles:

The first Kayn thing I ever heard is coming up in a couple of minutes. Cybernetics III - it was on a Deutschle zGramophone Avant-garde series lp, besides this album.

I'm loving this summer-in-February weather chresti, but that's easy for me to say - i don't have to work outdoors.

Carmichael, is that a party at your house?
Avatar 6:07pm

Gonna play a bit of WS Burroughs in honor of His sacred birthday, which is today.

Ha, that would be a special party! from L-R: Godfrey Townsend, Mark Farner, Jack Bruce, Todd Rundgren, Christopher Cross and Alan Parsons.
Avatar 6:13pm
Debbie Davenport:

Sounds great where I'm at too. I'm across the house listening instead of hovering at the keyboard like I usually do.
Avatar 6:14pm
Mr Fab:

Christopher Cross?! What's he doing there?
Avatar 6:17pm
Carmichael:

It was an all-star thing, Mr. Fab. I was hired as a road guitarist for the West Coast leg of his 2001 tour and took that pic during the "unplugged" segment. Cross is also Alan's next door neighbor in Santa Barbara (or what passes as "next door") ...

The Residents guy I met at their 444 Grove St studio a couple of weeks before this show told me about DEVO, and gave me a copy of their “Booji Boy” label 7” w Jocko Homo and Mongoloid, and an 8X10 photo. He said they were playing on August 3rd at the Mab, so I was aware of them and how rad they would probably be, so I dragged my 4 Track Dokorder reel to reel with me. I was not disappointed. A weird band called Punk open, I think. Avenger s may have opened the next night, which is the show on the DEVO Live Workforce bootleg.

A friend lived at the house on Mt. Washington in LA where they crashed during these years. Oh, the stories she could tell.
Avatar 7:53pm

I’d tell that whole “Meeting the Resident” story but this DEVO show might go a couple of minutes over my allotted time as it is.

So, this show's never been bootlegged before? I have a Mabuhay boot but it's definitely not this show.
I realize they played there numerous times. I have a couple of repro flyers from other Mabuhay shows as well.
