Shakespeare was a horn dog.

Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 2
Hamlet: Lady, shall I lie in your lap?
Ophelia: No, my lord.
Hamlet: Did you think I meant country matters?
Ophelia: I think nothing, my lord.
Hamlet: That’s a fair thought to lie between maids’ legs.

Spelled country, but a pun on the pronunciation.
  9:43am geoff:

First two Big Country albums are all you need Joe. Real big quality drop off after those ones.

@TDK: Country Rockets came out of a sloppier tradition - punk/post punk
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44am McGroovey:

I've somehow never heard Big Country's "Steel Town". I loved the one after it. Is it called "The Seer"? And the EP that came right before or after the third album. Those were on my turntable and on my mixtapes a lot on the eighties
Avatar 🎸 9:47am TDK60:

dano59: Thanks, gotcha. I have never minded a bit of sloppiness in music, if it fits the moment.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:47am YETI BOB:

My father would play Last Thing On My Mind on the guitar when I was little, it's one of the earliest songs I remember. Like me he was bad at remembering song lyrics but got the first few lines.

I see that last winter the snow caused a partial collapse at the Aragon: "The wall collapsed after two storms dumped nearly 18 inches of snow on Chicago. ... Chicago's Department of Buildings missed its annual inspection of the Aragon in July because the venue was closed for the pandemic and an inspector was unable to gain entry".

For programming/game nerds "of a certain age," a short article on how Battlezone was made -> spectrum.ieee.org...

That might be the last video game I played, come to think of it.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 9:59am YETI BOB:

WP says: "A fire at an adjacent cocktail lounge in 1958 forced the Aragon to close for several months. After the reopening, crowds declined significantly, to the point that regular dancing ended in 1964.". Maybe that's what the song is referring to.

Trying to figure out what movie Clarke is referring to. Searched for "Robert Taylor movie Chicago lawyer" and came up with ... PARTY GIRL! "Party Girl (1958) was a return to the crime genre, starring Cyd Charisse as a 1920s Chicago showgirl who questions her ties to a syndicate boss (Lee J. Cobb) when a mob lawyer (Robert Taylor) wants her to make a break with him."
