Was hearing La Lupe doing Fever and thinking it sounded very different than another version La Lupe did, which happened to be played on DJ Rubberband Girl's show on Monday, and then looking here, I see this version is titled Fever Boogaloo, emphasizing the Latin (re-)arrangement of the tune.

I got to Interview Martin earlier this year. He's a delight! (And very, very friendly.)

He also has a connection to Max Headroom: he was roommates with Steve Roberts, who wrote Max Headroom. (Martin was in the other room, writing Cleaners From Venus songs.)

That's terrific, Austin! I used to correspond with Martin by mail in the 80s. A mutual friend let him know that I played Cleaners from Venus on my show back then and he wrote to thank me. We kept it up for a while. I was also pen pals with Kevin Lycett of the Mekons.
