Avatar 12:05am Sara A:

greetings all 👽
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05am Dag Nabbit ∅:

it wasn't me it was Sara
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06am Ken From Hyde Park:

"Hello?" Seems folks usually answer the phone with a question.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06am Franco Twinkie:

Tarred with the same brush you are!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07am coelacanth∅:

...but yeah really -now trees?
'can't forsake trees
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08am Franco Twinkie:

Had major tree work done this past week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09am coelacanth∅:

the weather's been beautiful here lately and it makes me miss doing tree/garden work
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am Ken From Hyde Park:

I saw a fat fly buzzing around my front door a day or two ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am Franco Twinkie:

We sprung for an arborist. It was a tricky job, but worth it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11am coelacanth∅:

it only takes a day or 2 of warmth
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11am coelacanth∅:

so, tree saved?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13am Franco Twinkie:

Yup! It's a gigantic rubber tree. It was sending roots under the neighbors house and busting up their concrete slab.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13am Paulo AD:

Morning all :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14am Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Paulo. I hope this day is going better for you.
  12:14am BH:

the forecast for tomorrow night around my area? 50-60mph wind gusts in the afternoon/evening

I got a dental appointment tomorrow. So how does an N95 mask fare against 50mph wind gusts? (obviously the mask would be attached to a face in this scenario)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15am Franco Twinkie:

How do you feel today Paulo?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15am Franco Twinkie:

Where are you BH?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16am coelacanth∅:

hey Paulo!

holy crap Franco! what'd they do, cut the roots as far out as possible then redirect them away from harm?
- that's what i'd do, but i actually don't know shit
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19am Paulo AD:

Thanks for asking Franco. Had about 30 mins sleep last night, feel exhausted
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19am Franco Twinkie:

They dug a trench in between the houses and sunk a root barrier. They also dug up part of our driveway and yanked out some big monsters that had buckled the asphalt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19am Paulo AD:

Hi Ken, going to be a long old day. Hiya Coela
  12:20am BH:

Franco: Missouri. Fortunately I'm in the part with a forecast maximum wind gust around 55mph instead of the parts to my Northwest in KS/NE/NW MO where the peak is gonna be 60-65mph winds over flat farm prairies
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23am coelacanth∅:

hmm -what do the roots do when they reach the barrier straight on?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am Franco Twinkie:

I'll probably be dead by then, so I really don't care. We did the best thing, considering.
  12:28am ?:

Sara! Uruguay fan club tunin in!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29am coelacanth∅:

i read some years ago that a rubber tree is at the very high end in terms of oxygen production.
'glad you saved it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32am Franco Twinkie:

I would let it destroy the neighbors house before I harmed the tree. In California the way property law is written, they're shit out of luck.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33am Paulo AD:

No trees to worry about in my apartment haha plenty on the golf course mind
Avatar 12:37am Sara A:

hi uruguay fan club! lol i'm honored
  12:43am BigAL:

We took a nap to make it to the chat but we did it finally. Live in Uruguay is happening my friend. Lovely songs to the waves of Valizas.
  12:46am didders:

truly excellent second set! much love from belgium
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am Franco Twinkie:

Coel, this is the tree before the work started. They gave it a proper thinning, as opposed to a hack job.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48am Paulo AD:

I'm missed out going to Uruguay when I was in South America, I went to the Welsh speaking towns in Argentina instead
Avatar 12:48am Sara A:

wow al it's so late for you guys !! thanks for making it :)
Avatar 12:48am Sara A:

cheers didders
  12:55am BigAL:

Now there is a 3am pasta being made. So we good Sar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59am Paulo AD:

Only 10am for me
  12:59am Alan Smithee:

One item on my bucket list is to have airtime on WFMU… I have so much music to share with the world!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06am Ken From Hyde Park:

@Alan - Maybe the Radio Row program would be a start. www.wfmu.org... The link has a form to apply for a slot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06am Franco Twinkie:

I'm perfectly happy to throw money at WFMU and let them entertain me. It's a hell of lot of work to keep things at such a high caliber week after week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07am Paulo AD:

I really do love wfmu, gets me through the day
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09am Franco Twinkie:

Me too Paulo. But if I'm perfectly honest, I am a bit addicted. And like all addictions, a lot of self recrimination comes along with the pleasure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09am Paulo AD:

My wife calls it my cult hahah
Avatar 1:11am Sara A:

alan- yes, what ken says. you should try to apply for a slot in the radio row program.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13am Franco Twinkie:

It IS a cult! And we're all willing supplicants, Paulo. I'm lucky I live with an enabler. We talk about it all the time. Neither of us wants to kick the habit or moderate. Nope, we're doomed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14am Paulo AD:

Doomed, we're all dommed hahah
I might apply for a slot
Avatar 1:16am Sara A:

it's a good cult !!
Avatar 1:16am Sara A:

i just wrapped up the heaven's gate documentary yesterday. definitely have cults on the brain rn
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19am Franco Twinkie:

I like to think all of that DJ stuff is behind me. But it's like a relationship you try and distance yourself from, but then you see the object of you're torment hanging out in the park and you say to yourself - who am I kidding?
  1:21am Alan Smithee:

Thank you, Ken! Who knows how many are on the waitlist but I’ll give it a shot
Avatar 1:26am Sara A:

how's the 3 am pasta al?
  1:27am Alan Smithee:

I would also like an update
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31am Franco Twinkie:

You're killing it tonight Sara, and it's killing me! I'm going straight to bed I am. Thanks.
  1:32am BigAL:

Pasta update here, chef has prepared una pasta valizera, eggs cheese ginger and a noodle variety. Pair with mezcal and guaraná.

Avatar 1:51am Hubig Pie:

Dub lullaby, so good
  1:58am ?:

Experimental yes Sarita, what you got in the cooler goes in the pasta. Spinach in a pot 2.0
  1:59am BigAL:

Kombucha guaraná could be good
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59am Paulo AD:

I'm on the green tea
Avatar 2:01am Sara A:

kombucha guarana is probs good too. spinach in a pot 2.0 bahaha
  2:12am headcleaner:

strange, ja .. aber find ich gut
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24am Ike:

Hi all. I love green tea, but I'm very picky about it. I don't like the ones that taste like spinach in a pot or boiled crabgrass and dandelions in a pot. I prefer a nice floral or nutty Chinese or Taiwanese green tea.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25am Paulo AD:

This one is match green
  2:26am p🍉p:

Love reggae and all variations but wish there was more female rep, so this set is welcome, thanks
Avatar 2:33am Hubig Pie:

G'night all
Sweet sounds
Avatar 2:38am Sara A:

agree with you about green tea ike
Avatar 2:39am Sara A:

gnight hubig!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43am Ike:

@Paulo, I've never had a matcha I loved, probably because I've never coughed up the cash for a really good smooth one. The cheap ones just taste like somebody ground up a clump of stuff they pulled out from under a lawnmower and put it in some hot water, LOL.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44am Paulo AD:

Ike hahah yeah I get that
Avatar 2:48am Sara A:

bahaha that made me cackle ike
Avatar 2:56am Sara A:

i'll be wrapping up shortly. thanks for listening everyone !!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00am Ken From Hyde Park:

Yark, time's up already? Thanks, Sara!
