"Four O'Clock" was a dud as far as Zone episodes go, but its heart was in the right place.

Hello all! I was just listening to "Action Packed" by Ronnie Dawson the other day. I discovered it through Jonathan Richman's cover of the song. Though I have to say, I prefer Jonathan's version because of a more melodic approach.

Theodore Bickel notable for his role in My Side of the Mountain where he befriends a kid living in a tree stump with his trained falcon (or was that a dream?)
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 1:45pm DjLorraine:

But what about the bird's career? (I'm kidding)
🌮 Swag For Life Member 1:46pm Bruce S.:

Required viewing for all FP listeners: the anti-pornography documentary Perversion for Profit (1965). In fact, I think you sometimes use a snippet from it on the show. The narrator is Charles Keating, who eventually spent four years in prison for his role in the Savings and Loan scandal of the late 1980s., (Cost to the American taxpayer:3 billion dollars.) You can find it on YouTube.
🌮 Swag For Life Member 2:10pm Bruce S.:

Oh Man this is something, not sure what though

  2:42pm Andres:

davefromtoronto: Mel and Ralph Klein were certainly of an era that is hopefully over.
Avatar 2:43pm Melissa Jean:

I saved a smoked turkey on Thanksgiving one year. I was making the gravy early in the morning and sure enough, the person in charge of the smoker had made the rookie mistake of putting the bird in the smoker with the giblets (wrapped in plastic) inside. I was so glad I got up early.

Avatar 2:46pm winston legthigh:

Avatar 2:47pm Hubig Pie:

I got my turkey recipe from Tom Snyder-
Put the bird inna large roasting pan. Pour in 1 cup of gin, 1 cup of bourbon, 1 cup of vodka and 1 cup of rum. Cook for three hours then throw the carcass in the garbage and drink the gravy.
  2:47pm Paul in the OC:

Theodore Bikel--also featured player in a decent 3rd season Twilight Zone, playing a complete fanatic who gets his. Lyndhurst VFW? Used to pass that twice a day on the commuter train! They've got the Magic Bus II.
  2:47pm davefromtoronto:
