The Mariel Roberts piece puzzles me. From her introduction it seems obvious that the source material of a cassette of her father playing piano is very meaningful to her. Listening I could hear nothing that would reveal the source is a recording of piano playing. Perhaps others could tell but it escaped me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54pm
david w:

She slowed it waaaay down so it becomes kind of a wash behind her,.

Another excellent episode David W. I feel lucky that I could sit and listen during much of it. Though I couldn't restrain from various tangental internet readings that may have been a distraction equal to the usual work stuff.

Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 7:00pm

Yes, David, she made the recording of piano into an abstraction, greatly diminishing his physical presence (his fingers pressing the piano keys) against which she played.
