Mr Fab:

We’re driving along, Crumb playing almost subliminally in the background, when the shrieking strings leap out of the speakers, making my daughter jump: “Jeez, what was that?!” Haha, well done sir.

ironybread:

Hi Fab! Today's a GREAT show for every father to share with his daughter!! (shudder)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm
Zipperhead7:

I could never imagine George Crumb segueing into Clipping -- but here it makes perfect sense.

Mike Rogers was telling Japanese ghost stories on his show. This would soundtrack that quite nicely: like the story of the ghost schoolgirl who hides in toilets and reaches up to…

Amazon lists this as an MP3:
Looney Tunes Opening Theme (Carl Stalling) [Clean]
So there's dirty version?!?
Avatar 2:52pm
Mr Fab:

Haha. Well, those “boing!” sounds are awfully suggestive.

ironybread:

HA! That reminds me - when the first volume of Carl Stalling Project came out, we were all Negativland-heads at KUOI and one of my fellow DJs wrote on the advisory label on the front of the CD "If you listen all the way through, you can hear Daffy Duck cussing out Bugs"

i watched a hilarious interview with Genesis P. Orridge and Elwood O'Dowd and they had some funny stories about being trapped in LaVey's house and being forced to listen to him play the organ for hours.

Anton on the mighty Wurlitzer is best in small doses. Before its "makeover," the Empire Hotel in NYC had a big sweeping staircase to a bar on the second floor -- and a portrait at the top of the stairs was a ringer for Anton!

Thanks for listening everybody! Also, BOO!
