It's interesting that both Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin's sons had their own successful rock groups.

MOM WHIG:

Hi David - yes that is correct.

MOM WHIG:

I just looked up Gary Lewis - he's my age - I'm 6 months younger

David Shortell:

I first heard the Gary Lewis songs "Without a Word Of Warning" and "Little Miss Go-Go" from seeing the Untamed Youth (Deke Dickerson's old band) perform them live three decades ago.

hi ya'll - is this a live show?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm
Woo:

Gary Lewis had some good producers. This stuff holds up well.

David in California:

Dave, no, it's from 2007.

Haven't heard Jill in decades. The Turtles could have done this one

I had the 45 Gary Lewis and the Playboys made for Kellogg's, "Doin' the Flake". I guess Gary Lewis and the Playboys fans were expected to subsist on corn flakes and Coca-Cola.

Hi Dave from Toronto and David from California...yeah Woo...the Gary Lewis stuff is top notch I think...many people say it's bland...nope...it's very under-appreciated. Jill should have been a bigger hit...and had a great ad in Billboard...
  7:37pm
David in California:

Hi sw2442. I agree, they were underappreciated.

David in California:

Double Good Feeling has a similar quality to Bonner and Gordon's other song Happy Together.

Woo:

I had no idea they had this many great tracks. Always learn while listening on WFMU

Woo, it's been an education to me, too.

LUV GL & the Playboys too

Hello Mom Whig. I'm hoping we'll be able to hear the second hour this time.

Joe B:

didn't realize Gary had some co-writing credits

David in California:

If Bobby Goldsboro had a big hit with "It's Too Late" instead of "Honey" he would have had a whole different image.
