Hi, Duane!
Just tuning in after listening to our beloved Station Manager as I always do every Wednesday. Loving the LSP tribute so far. Waiting until you get to some of his later material and collaborations with other more prominent artists. I'll be paying my own tribute tonight listening to the on-u sound releases of his work with Dub Syndicate. Thanks for all the cool vibes throughout this 10-year train ride. And if I may make a suggestion, you might want to end next week's show with an appropriate track: Chic's "At Last I Am Free".

Either way, there's no need to give Ken "shit" for taking people off schedule. He's just trying the keep the ship running and roughly on course, after all. If anything he seems to err on the side of giving people chances (over keeping things permanently locked up and entrenched).

@ACeeNJ: serious blow; sort of reeling here. I've learned and re-learned so much from Mr. Harriott. Random examples: I generally discounted most 1980s electric pop R&B (sort of like, BT Express = Awesome; Kashif = Blah). But Duane's Kashif tribute four or so years ago was so excellent and considerate of the artist, that I reevaluated and have revisited the genre to my delight. Duane's post-election, 11/9/2016 show was a balm to the beleaguered. Once there was a David Axelrod examination and comment-board reaction that blew me away. So many moments of discovery, always offered with warmth and generosity by Our Dear Conductor.

this track, related Max Romeo album & many lee productions scored a special time of squatting in Amsterdam, something that is becoming harder as neoliberalism tightens its hold there </3 thank you Duane for bringing up the memory with this spin & for the mystical journey this show has been, love & solidarity to squatters everywhere
