@BH... what does the orange cat do when the cow jumps over the moon?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15am Ken From Hyde Park:

G'day, Scott. The moon here was a deep red color from smoke from distant fires last night, but it's the normal color again tonight. 🌔
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19am Scott67:

G'day Ken, I hope the fires settle soon. I know those Red Moons & Crimson Sunrises too well mate.

Avatar 1:09am Rosey is Listening on WFMU.org:

Checking in from Amtrak to say hi. Currently nearing the border between New York state and Pennsylvania, going to Erie and then Cleveland en route to Chicago. Have been picking up some things with my HD Radio. Stream may not work so well right now but is worth a shot at some point before I go to sleep soon. I already miss being in terrestrial signal territory for the WFMU frequencies.
  1:11am Sleve McDichael:

Underrated Specials song, maybe my favorite of theirs. I love the background synths
  1:12am headcleaner:

"What in my life has changed since hearing this song, shortly after it came out? What indeed?" he asks himself, having just stumbled home after ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13am Jim the Poet:

The burgers at the Cleveland train station are my favorite. Or was it the bus station?
Avatar 1:14am sophie:

Chicago! Sounds splendid. I haven't been in years. hope you have fun
Avatar 1:17am northguineahills:

Is it odd I saw Stereolab open for Sonic Youth in Atlanta in 2000, and 11 years later, both, Tim Gane and Thurston both cheated on their partners at the same time 11 years later w/in months of each other (SY is gone, but da Lab is back again!)
  1:23am headcleaner:

NGH - nothing odd at all; it's just an instance of the Birthday Paradox. If it wasn't that particular instance, it would have been some other coincidence of sleaze (or if less vindictively: failure of character) you would have remembered - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthday_problem
Avatar 1:26am Drunken Creep:

Nice choice DJ, on the Friday Night Saturday Morning!

With decades of loving that song, I heard a new insight in the lyrics with that listen, and my ears are smiling.
Avatar 1:33am Rosey is Listening on WFMU.org:

Thanks, Sophie, although I'm actually connecting at Chicago to get on another train to Texas to see my dad in Austin. Will pass through Chicago again on the way back, where I connect to a train to Indianapolis so I can see my sister, before finally heading home. But if my trains into Chicago are on time, I'll get to do some cool things. Still right on time right now. I definitely have to hit a dispensary too.
Avatar 1:36am Rosey is Listening on WFMU.org:

And very nice, you've been coming in pretty well. WiFi is only so good and reliable, but at least I'm not anywhere too remote. On my trip home from Indianapolis, I pass through southern West Virignia, with plenty of mountains around. Would be interesting if there's a single signal I could pick up, whether it be the train getting a usable signal for WiFi, my phone's mobile internet, radio, or TV. For now though, still so far, so good. Maybe I'll even doze off with freeform on if it keeps working.
Avatar 1:38am sophie:

Drunken, thanks! I am gonna read the lyrics now. i love the specials
Avatar 1:39am Rosey is Listening on WFMU.org:

I'm curious now, Jim. I only passed through Cleveland by train once and don't otherwise think I've been there. Unfortunately, all of the Amtrak trains show up in Cleveland at pretty uncivilized hours. We're due in a little less than two hours from now. Unless there was just a good restaurant near the train station, I'd guess you were at a bus station. I don't remember where Greyhound is in Cleveland, if Greyhound is what you used. Sometimes it shares facilities with Amtrak or is otherwise near Amtrak.
Avatar 1:44am sophie:

oh wow, rosey.. quite a long train ride. sounds nice.
Avatar 1:51am Rosey is Listening on WFMU.org:

It's definitely nice to have some time to sit back, relax, and think. The camaraderie on the trains is great too, and you can meet people from all over the country and even from other countries, all while the world passes by outside your window like a movie or TV show. It's also especially nice to get to hear some of your music this morning, Sophie, because I really like New York Underground. I'll definitely make sure to tune in for your fill-in show.
Avatar 1:53am Rosey is Listening on WFMU.org:

Oh, this is actually so funny. My final train should be coming into New York during that show. Would be cool to pick it up on the radio instead of streaming. I'll be coming from Washington instead of Albany, so I may get reception somewhere along the Northeast Corridor between like maybe New Brunswick and New York. With any luck, I'll be home in time for the end of the show and a very good night of sleep. Just got to Erie, Penn. Cleveland is next.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54am Jim the Poet:

I think that burger place was at the Greyhound station and it may not have been the greatest cheeseburger I ever had but it was definitely the cheeseburger I needed!
Avatar 1:57am Hubig Pie:

Train travel is relaxing and magical and if'fn you be traveling thru the southeast, full of kudzu
Avatar 1:59am Rosey is Listening on WFMU.org:

Ha, I know the feeling, Jim! I really do have to finally pass out soon at some point here, but it would be cool if I pop back awake to see us come into Cleveland in a little over an hour. Will also be the first of a few different times that I pass sports stadiums on my trip.
Avatar 2:09am Hubig Pie:

Less vocoder= more pathos
