Hello to you, Sean, james and all tuning in today!

Listener Robert:

Did you get lucky, or did you carefully compose that photo?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm
Irene Trudel:

Hi Robert! That was a lucky shot, from Joel Forrester's show at Barbès, Brooklyn last night. The light just struck perfectly.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm
Irene Trudel:

Good to have you here, Bas, Michael and Brian! Hopefully my sounds will quiet your surroundings.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm
David (in London):

Hi Brian. Yes, for a Tour in which CG is pretty well sewn-up, it's been a blisteringly exciting vintage. All the other races seem really absorbing this year. Really thrilled to see what Cav can still get done (plus excellently snarky Tweet from Merckx on the subject).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm
David (in London):

Massive thunderstorm currently overhead mixing nicely with your cuts, Irene.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm
Sean in Bristol UK:

Stopped off for a breather from my cycle ride, my twenty miles pales in to insignificant compared to those plucky TdF chappies!

It was fun seeing Annette Peacock Tweet about the Euro Final yesterday. Her Tweet: "I love England, but yay Italy!"

That warmed my cockles.

That was some fine show, Mr Stork
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm
Sean in Bristol UK:

Mr Wilson, thank you Irene. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have discovered this amazing talent. People, if you haven’t seen him I urge you to do so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm
Irene Trudel:

Hi doctorjazz and Michael! Yes, I really enjoyed your birthday celebration for Hector Zazou yesterday, Stork!
Avatar 1:02pm
Stork:

Thank you most kindly, Michael 98145. it was a catharsis of Zazou for me. What a wonderful egoless facilitator he was - just putting together the best ensembles and getting out of the way.
Avatar 1:06pm
Stork:

Thanks, Irene. It was hearing his music on your show, Tony Coulter's, Dave Mandl's and others over the years that really aroused my interest in his music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm
Irene Trudel:

Thanks Stork! Nick Hill also played a big role in bringing Hector Zazou to my attention. I sort of forgot about him-- an oversight I need to rectify.

July 14, 9 to midnight, his trio at LITTLE BRANCH, 22 7th Ave. South in the West Village. And Sunday July 18, 6:30 to 9:45, trio at THAI ROCK Restaurant, 375 Beach 92 in Rockaway Beach.

Gerry from Miami:

Wikipedia lists 49 (!) albums under Robin Williamson's name. All in addition to the Incredible String Band's output. And the solo LPs are only up to 2014. He will be 78 in November. What a long and productive career!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm
David (in London):

Gerry, I always feel that way about Muslimgauze too. His discography grows even more gargantuan with every passing year. Even more impressive in that he's been dead for over 20 years,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm
Spinning Giant:

2nd time in 2 days (or 3?) I've heard Adrian Crowley - new to me - and delightful...

Cheers Irene :D

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm

Hey Gerry and Spinning Giant! I'm really glad I've gotten to see Robin a few times when he visited the U.S. Such an amazing artist aside from the ISB output as well. Adrian is pretty amazing as well.
