Nice! I saw it at Menlo Mall Monday night...6 people in attendance including me and my wife
Avatar 2:10pm Joe B:

@medson - figured as much. gonna take a ride over after the show
  2:10pm Gerry from Miami:

Hey, Joe B.!Just came from spending two hours listening to Bunny spinning soul records. I made a request. He got the artist right, but not the song. I'm still trying to figure out if there is really a method to the madness of "the electric sound of artificial intelligence" that the stream propounds. Do you think Bunny would send me his autograph? Has he ever met S.A.M., Clay Pigeon's cyberpal?
  2:11pm John Haley:

Hey Joe, checkin in ...
Avatar 2:11pm Joe B:

hey Gerry! not sure what the best way to ask Bunny is. I have about a 50% success rate
Avatar 2:12pm Joe B:

hey John!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm medson:

@joeb seaside park?
Avatar 2:14pm Woo:

The Bunny doesn't have access to every single song so he goes for the next closest thing. Or something totally off. I'm usually happy with the pick. And I'm happy with this Rascals cover.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm pgalub:

Hey Joe! Sounding great! Especially that face-melting guitar solo! ;)

Avatar 2:21pm David Shortell:

The sparse attendance at the Freehold Raceway Mall's "Summer of Soul" screening yesterday was sort of a good thing. I literally couldn't keep still in my seat.
  2:21pm Gerry from Miami:

Is Mr. DiMucci doing his best Bob Dylan here?
  2:23pm Dennis Diken:

Hey Gerry from Miami!
Avatar 2:24pm Joe B:

@david -same here. first time post covid I was back in a theater. only 2 other people in the gigantic room so I was fine with it
  2:26pm Gerry from Miami:

If nobody else is going to see it, at least WFMU listeners are supporting the "Summer of Soul" film. I hope to catch it soon myself. The same statement could be made about the "Sparks Brothers" documentary.
Avatar 2:29pm Hoboken Jack:

Enjoying a photo of Darius Rucker on the pop-up player!

Willie Mitchell! Hell yeah.
  2:48pm Gerry from Miami:

Joe B. I agree with you about that song, "Searching," by an unknown group on the Ikon compilation. They had that Byrdsian 12-string electric Rickenbacker thing down pat! That sound just makes me melt. Long live Roger McGuinn!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm medson:

Hi there Candy O
Avatar 2:48pm Joe B:

@gerry - maybe I will cover it and take credit!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Candy-O'67:

Hey, medson!
  2:51pm Bobby Thunders:

How about a trio with Lee Hazlewood, Lee Marvin and Lee Remick called Los Three Lees?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm Candy-O'67:

Oh, man. I saw William Bell here in Austin in 2019, I think that summer. Such an amazing show!! Bought a record he had for sale after and he autographed it and he was so nice!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm medson:

Lee Van Cleef might be a better fit
  2:56pm Kevin:

@Candy-O: I would have loved to see W.B. I wish he'd come north!
Avatar 2:57pm Joe B:

William Bell played lincoln center out of doors a couple times. fantastic!
  2:59pm Gerry from Miami:

Super to hear William Bell. "You Don't Miss Your Water" is a classic covered by so many other great artists. As you might have guessed, the Byrds' version on "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" is my favorite.
  3:01pm Dennis Diken:

Diggin’ big time Joe, I gotta duck out but looking forward to the Lee H trib on the r-kive! have a great weekend everyone!
Avatar 3:02pm Joe B:

thanks DD!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:03pm Candy-O'67:

I wish he would have to for you, Kevin!
Avatar 3:04pm Joe B:

I did this show before I heard of sanford clark's passing. obviously the artist that launched lee's career, and also introduced him to al casey!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08pm Mike Sin:

Listening live outside in the blazing sun!
Avatar 3:09pm David Shortell:

Has Lee Hazlewood acted in anything besides "The Sweet Ride"? That movie is notable for its inclusion of Moby Grape playing "Never Again", a track that went unreleased on record for about 4 decades. It finally appeared as a bonus track on the 2007 Sundazed CD reissue of their first album.
Avatar 3:10pm Joe B:

hey Mike!
Avatar 3:14pm David Shortell:

To answer my own question, it appears Hazlewood had a few other acting roles, including the title character in the Swedish movie "Smoke".
  3:17pm Gerry from Miami:

That song "Califia" is the fictional goddess after whom the State of California was named!
  3:18pm johnk77:

russ titelman was later
very hands on during the career of
little feat
both studio and selected live dates
Avatar 3:20pm David Shortell:

Interesting, Gerry. A state was named after a character in a novel!
Avatar 3:22pm Joe B:

@john - russ had his hands in many careers!
  3:24pm Gerry from Miami:

Does my memory tell me that Columbia released every song on Moby Grape's debut album as singles? CBS's "hype" department went gonzo trying to get the band on the radio. They should have been much bigger than they were, just like Big Star, the Flying Burrito Bros and others, too numerous to mention
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm efd:

That was amazing.
Avatar 3:29pm Hackensack Slim:

Soundin' Good JB. Saw Nancy with Elvis in Speedway on TCM yesterday. Looking wonderful in standard white boots and mini dress.
