The heat here in NYC is so atrocious today (continuing from yesterday).
Making the most of being stuck in this cell box, with the AC on, listening on the portable Bose speaker, reclined on the couch reading my first Don DeLillo novel, sipping chicory coffee, kids playing on the floor.
It’s not so bad, really. But summers are to be enjoyed outside. This weather makes that virtually impossible. At least we’ll get some things done around the apartment, not the least of which is some reading.

@TonyR I’m quite digging the non-acidic/no caffeine chicory coffee these days. Helps with GERD. Nice substitute. Sometimes mix it with espresso if I want that lift.
But if you like cold stuff brew some chicory, let cool and take out the blender. Add some banana (frozen is even better), a couple of ice cubes, some almond milk, a splash of bitters, and if you really want to get funky some carob powder.
Cutting down on caffeine and acid ain’t gotta be boring!
And speaking of N’awlins that’s where the coffee substitute originates in this country.

Legend of course immediately became it's them breaking up onscreen. But they didn't break up then - Abbey Road was recorded later in 1969, but 'Let It Be' came out last. It was only a few weeks in Janurary '69 - this project to fit an album coming together with a climax of a Live performance. This Jackson project is from 60 hours of footage that was filmed then - no talking heads reportedly. & tag is that it shows a much more balanced atmosphere than them hating & being glum.
There will absolutely be Boxes to buy unless they've all slipped into another universe as yet unknown to this one.
