MORRICONE ISLAND is a weekly film and television soundtrack radio program on WFMU hosted by Devon E. Levins. The show was conceived in 2007 and transitioned over to WFMU in 2014. THE MORRICONE ISLAND INTERVIEWS podcast features the in-depth conversations with film and television music composers and the related soundtrack industry and fan community.

| Composer, conductor and educator DAVID NEWMAN discusses his 35-year career scoring over 100 films, from early days in horror (Critters, The Kindred, Heathers) to comedies (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Bowfinger, Mighty Ducks), children's (Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, Anastasia) and the Danny Devito-directed Throw Mama From The Train, War Of The Roses and Hoffa. As a member of the most nominated Academy Award family "The Newmans" with 92 noms, David is the son of nine-Oscar composer Alfred, nephew of Lionel and Emil, brother of Thomas and cousin of Randy.
