Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm Krys O.:

Eric: Last week I came across a video of Singer/Actor David Blue playing pinball. Have you ever seen it? www.youtube.com...
Avatar 2:21pm Mr Fab:

Hi Eric, so happy to have you for 4 hours now. hey all! Otis has moved to Wednesdays, for a big ol 11-hour block of non-stop programming. So more room for Eric to stretch out on Tuesdays.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm Webhamster Henry:

Otis "Get a Life" Fodder.
Avatar 2:23pm ZoZo666:

Hi Cris - - er, Mr Fab! Oh, sweet relief that Otis is on tomorrow - cos I doubt I'll larst moa than 24 hrs up straight (nor bent, 4 that matter...)
Avatar 2:25pm Mr Fab:

ZoZo, we have coyotes spotted more frequently in LA, which aint exactly rural. I think they’re having a harder time finding food here. Same with bears.
Avatar 2:26pm Mr Fab:

This Sun Ra = quite possibly the first improvised synth music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm WR:

I was looking for info on some obscure track I heard on the stream (4 year old Marjoe preaching) and could only find a very basic listing on discogs and I was about to think, damn, this trail has run cold and then I saw that the person who created the discogs listing is Otis-Fodder so aha, the trail is hot again.
Avatar 2:28pm ZoZo666:

@ Eric - Trippee stuff this mourning (afternoon/evenink woteva). It is adding colour to my hallucinationz (jk!)
@Mr Fab - ah, i see! Why harder time finding food? Urban incursions on their habitat? Or result of the fires - (wracks brainz whether LA had fires like Portland last (?) year...)

I'll take a ginger beer.
Avatar 2:55pm ZoZo666:

A propos of nuffink - after Otis's show larst week, I went & scored 3 of the 'Exotic Beatles' albums off Soulseek. Mainly cos I'm in the process of making a comp for my older brother & a good friend who both turned 60 recently - called 'Now We Are Six(ty)' - after the A.A. Milne book. Of coarse, I yam doctoring a few select "When I'm 64" trax - especially as my bro HATES the Beatles. Strange, but TRUE. :-)
Avatar 2:56pm ZoZo666:

@Krys O - oh bugger - I had some ginger beer, but the cat just ettit! :-(
Avatar 2:58pm ZoZo666:

@Eric - I yam REALLY digging these vibes you're playing forrus today! MOA than jusst 'Medium Cool' - it's FROSTY!
  2:58pm Eric Kilkenny:

Ahhh thanks so much, ZoZo!! yeah it's winter where you are
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm WR:

ZoZo sounds like a nice comp your making for your brother.
  2:59pm Eric Kilkenny:

That's okay tho, cause I'm always jealous when it's super nice out where you are in December/January hah
Avatar 2:59pm ZoZo666:

Avatar 3:01pm ZoZo666:

Oh - wait - no! A cold front just blew my windows in! Yikes! (ZoZo hopes Eric carnt tell he's LYING through his demonick teeth...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:02pm chresti:

Hi Eric and cool mediums!
Avatar 3:04pm ZoZo666:

@WR - Cheers - yes, it's gonna be fun, & only semi-tortureful. I found a kewl old British recitation of A.A. Milne's poem, backed by a poem about TEA, witch made MY job mutch easier (changing six to sixTEA! LoL)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm Carmichael:

Heya Eric and cool mediums. Soon to be not cool here, with temps of up to 110 in the next several days.
  3:05pm Eric Kilkenny:

Hello Chresti of chresti land! Hello Carmiachel! Yeh Westcoast is getting HAWT this week
Avatar 3:05pm Mr Fab:

ZoZo you know you gotta make an mp3 of that Milne poem for us!
Avatar 3:07pm Mr Fab:

“What She Goth That I Ain't Goth” = Song Title of the Week.
Avatar 3:07pm ZoZo666:

Top o' the Moaning to you, chresti! (or bottom of the afternoon?). Hiya Carmichael. 110 degress outch! Your fahrenheit always sounds SUPA-HOT to us who use celsius - 110 = 43.3333333333etc
Avatar 3:10pm Mr Fab:

The Fahrenheit systems works for me. It’s like: if it’s in the ‘90s, i can handle it. Triple digits? Ok. We have crossed the threshold. Time for a/c.
Avatar 3:11pm ZoZo666:

@Mr Fab - But of coarse! LoL. Though I DO want to get my own showw here...(NOT as batshit-insane as my previous 'MoJo Filter Showws' of 2018/19, mind u. Thankfully limited release Oddkarsts via Fakebook - a LITTLE too mutch (ahem) singing along to the songs! Blush AND LoL
Avatar 3:12pm ZoZo666:

@Carmichael - where are you, C?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm Webhamster Henry:

Metric Man will set you straight about SI temperature, Mr. Fab.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm chresti:

Hi ZoZo! Supposed to get 100 today. I'm in San Gabriel CA, Carmichael is near Sacramento.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm chresti:

Excessive heat warning for the rest of the week.
Avatar 3:17pm ZoZo666:

(that breaking sound you-all kin hear is my dawn cracking...looks like it's gonna be a nice day here...cloudy, but NO WIND thus far - they don't call Wellington (& it's environs, where I live) "windy" for nothing.
(It has to PAY them. Haha)
@chresti - ta 4 the info!
Avatar 3:18pm Mr Fab:

Haha, Henry. Metric def makes more sense in the long run. The science world does everything in metric, and reading science articles always re-orients my brain to metric-land.
Avatar 3:18pm ZoZo666:

@Eric - Orquestra Akokan are giving me the BLISSters! (& thatza GOOD thang)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm Webhamster Henry:

"Metric By '75" << why the Metric Man series was created.
Avatar 3:20pm ZoZo666:

Ooh! Timewarp to those Incredibly Strange Music comps - woOHOo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Krys O.:

I remember those metric threats. The 'real fee' temperature here in Roseland, NJ is 87 F with 49% hummdidity.
Avatar 3:22pm Mr Fab:

Spacebrother Greg and I had the privilege if seeing JJ Perrey live (Otis was DJ as well that night.) One day I shall regal the grandkids with how Perrey shook my hand and “Mr Fab, Nice to meet you!”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm Krys O.:

Aw, JJP was sweet on Facebook with birthday greetings and such.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm Webhamster Henry:

@ZoZo - you are probably familiar with the Mikhail Lermontov wreck; I took that ship NYC -> Bremen in 1976.
Avatar 3:27pm ZoZo666:

@Mr Fab: WoW bOb WoW! My gob is WELL smacked!!! :-O
@ Henry - Yes, I sure am. A major maritime disaster here in '86 (jusst googled it to get the date - I'm NO "Chaser"..LoL). & golly that you were once on it! :-O
Avatar 3:28pm ZoZo666:

Avatar 3:30pm ZoZo666:

Hello, Electric Amygdala? Kraftwerk's lawyers are on the other line... ;-)
Avatar 3:32pm Mr Fab:

Yes! Or maybe vintage Vangelis, which i revisited last night for some reason.
Avatar 3:35pm ZoZo666:

Really? I only know his Chariots of Fire & Bladerunner work.
Temp here is 14 degrees celcius (57.2 F). Pretty mild for mid-June...

Avatar 3:48pm ZoZo666:

A propos of nuffink, Part 2: WHY did I download "Fast Times At Ridgemont High"??? Especially as I HATE most "comedy" flix. WHY? LoL
Avatar 3:49pm ZoZo666:

@Eric - ooh - luvvin thiss Twangy groover!
Avatar 3:51pm Mr Fab:

ZoZo, pre-“Chariots of Fire” Vangelis got pretty loud and intense sometimes. One of his oldies i was listening to last night, “Pulstar,” could practically be a horror theme.

“Fast Times” is not only a classic, it’s a snapshot of my Valley upbringing! I even live down the street from the restaurant used in some scenes. Like the Zappa’s “Valley Girl” it’s as much authentic sociology as it is entertainment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10pm WR:

nice chat gents.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm chresti:

That's a raspy laugh you got there, ZoZo!
Avatar 4:12pm ZoZo666:

OOH! Sewwit IS! I found out about them when I loaned a copy of the autobiography of his 'sideman' in The Cleaners. It's a DAMN charming read
Avatar 4:29pm ZoZo666:

(them? Him! blimmen pronouns...)
Avatar 4:32pm ZoZo666:

hmmm...Google is not forthcoming with the book title...
Avatar 4:34pm Mr Fab:

The housewives who thought Vangelis was an easy-listening guy based on “chariots of fire” must’ve had a heart attack if they ever stumbled upon his two-record concept album about the book of revelations, “666,” by his early-70s prog band Aphrodite’s child. It’s an album as bat-poop crazy as you would think. (Pick hit: “Altamont”).
Avatar 4:35pm Mr Fab:

(^^you know that one, Franco?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:35pm Franco Twinkie:

Hey ZoZo! I wasn't ignoring you, it's just when I'm in my personal snack village I have a lazar beam focus on, well, snacks!
Avatar 4:36pm ZoZo666:

LoL - no worries, Franco!
Avatar 4:38pm ZoZo666:

@Fab - ohhh - I've heard that band name! But yes, if his stuff was moa "out there", then yes, it could WELL have been 'coronary city' in "nappy valley" for sure! (no offence to housefraus, btw...)
Avatar 4:40pm ZoZo666:

hmmm - the 'Cleaners' sideman's autobio COULD BE "Lost In Music" by Giles Smith - & reader "James" described it THUS:
"Lost in Music' (1995) is Giles Smith's part autobiography, part 'Pop Odyssey' (the book's subtitle) about a life as a dedicated pop music fan and aspiring pop star - Smith as an erstwhile member of cult/indie favourites the 'Cleaners From Venus' and his subsequent life as a music critic/writer.

'Lost in Music' is a very funny and very entertaining book, firmly located in Nick Hornby territory (unsurprisingly endorsed by Hornby on the cover) - but written very much in Smiths' own style."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:41pm Franco Twinkie:

I don't Fab, but funny you should mention a record with an over arching concept by a bunch of nuts, last night digging through a box I found my long lost copy of Kooks - Guide To The Outer Limits Of Human Belief, put out by Feral House. Do you know it?

G'day ZoZo. You're quiet today mate.✌😎🌏
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:02pm chresti:

Yeah, shut up you little fuck, daddy's on the phone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:02pm Franco Twinkie:

Fab, our collective tolerance for people who are convinced Satan and Karl Marx are playing cards inside their mop closet now has a mandate that's hard to ignore.
Avatar 5:04pm ZoZo666:

Nono, Scott - Au contraire! - I was away from the PC for a bit, but I've nearly used up my quota of verbiage 4 the morning (slowing down as I'm starting to run on fuuuumes,,,).
Avatar 5:06pm ZoZo666:

@chresti - I'd like to think I moderated my language after we adopted my son in '92, but I fukken doubt it (fukken!)! LoLoLoL
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07pm chresti:

I usually curse when I'm driving or using the computer.
Avatar 5:08pm ZoZo666:

@ chresti - Well, it's almost compulsory when operating either of those objects, innit? (rhet.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm chresti:

ZoZo, I realized it was all for naught when my son started school
Avatar 5:09pm ZoZo666:

ooh - Eric - we're in John Zorn/Laughing Clowns territory nowww! coolio!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm Scott67:

Avatar 5:11pm ZoZo666:

LOL chresti! True that! Bless our schools for having SOME decent edumicashun, eh. (The 3 Arse???)
LOL Scott LoL! nice one :-D
Avatar 5:17pm ZoZo666:

@chresti - tbh, I was moa concerned about protecting my son from MacDonalds than anyfink else! But the cunning Ronald got to him @ frikken PRESCHOOL, by sneaking in undercover to "teach the himportance of 'Making It Click' " seatbelt campaign.
I'll NEVER forget my shock & dismay when the words "Ron Donald! Ron Donald" came from his 4-year-old mouth, as we drove parst a frikken 'Golden Arches'...grrrrr!

(& yes, my son WAS developmentally challenged - hence his inability to pronounce The Evil Crapitaliszt Clown's name correctly).
Avatar 5:20pm Mr Fab:

Miraculously, my daughter has never been interested in going to Disneyland. Much to me and my wife’s great relief.
Avatar 5:20pm ZoZo666:

Phew - starting to fffffaaaaadddde here...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm chresti:

Avatar 5:27pm Otis:

Hello Fellow Four Hour Selector! Just got home from walking about town and catching the tail end.
Avatar 5:27pm Feldpausch:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29pm chresti:

Feld, you're right!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm Scott67:

Feldpausch, it was when I did.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:33pm Scott67:

Too low Eric!!
Avatar 5:33pm Feldpausch:

Oh Scott67 we should do heists together sometime
Avatar 5:34pm Otis:

Can I be the driver? As in, I don't drive any longer so I will show up with Big Wheels and a Grasshopper if that works okay.
Avatar 5:35pm StringOFperils:

Feld. Scott. Balaclava, nylon stocking, or Nixon mask?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36pm chresti:

Hi Otis!
Avatar 5:37pm Otis:

Hi chresti! Just got back from walking to buy a vacumn to get all this cat hair out of here, swimming in it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37pm Scott67:

I usually work alone Feldpausch, that way there are less accomplices do double cross in the denouement. Plus we'd spend half the heist chatting over coffee, about how cool the heist is gonna be.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:38pm Carmichael:

I love James Hunter!
Avatar 5:39pm StringOFperils:

Why the fuck do I have to be Mr. Pink?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm chresti:

I think the marching band is good heist music 'cuz everyone's distracted looking for the parade.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm Scott67:

SOp, I feel strangely compelled to use a Sleestak Mask. Dunno why?🔫👾💰
Avatar 5:41pm StringOFperils:

Maybe cuz you can fit a beer in there.
Avatar 5:42pm StringOFperils:

Ha ha chresti
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm Scott67:

SOp, okay! You can be Mr. Beige.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:43pm chresti:

Is it possible to send a telegram anymore?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:44pm Scott67:

E.T. Foam Dome! 🍺👾🍺😁😂😂😂
Avatar 5:44pm Feldpausch:

SOp, I'm gonna be the face man. Man of a thousand disguises
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:44pm Scott67:

I can be a funny bastard sometimes!
  5:47pm Eric Kilkenny:

Crazy cover of Morricone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47pm chresti:

Completely related to beer: are there still "dry" states in the US?
  5:47pm Eric Kilkenny:

There are dry counties here in Oregon
Avatar 5:48pm C.T. Lee:

there are definitely still states with horribly backward liquor laws (e.g., Utah)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:48pm Scott67:

🔫👾💰🌵🌵it's now a Western Stage Coach Robbery!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:48pm WR:

there are dry counties in Texas.
Avatar 5:49pm Feldpausch:

Otis, the big wheel is perfect. Nobody would suspect it
  5:49pm Eric Kilkenny:

Stay tuned for Maraschino Melodrama in about 10mins: wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49pm Scott67:

WR, So carry abible & a gun, but not a beer. What the fuck sort of "freedom" is that???
Avatar 5:50pm StringOFperils:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm chresti:

I remember back in the 70's my former in-laws complained about dry States when they drove through the South to visit relatives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm Carmichael:

It's a long long way to Near Beer Nevada ....
Avatar 5:51pm Otis:

Sorry, traded the getaway wheels for a bucket of hot dog water. I guess the heist will be on hold. But if anybody is thirsty...
Avatar 5:51pm Feldpausch:

Scott67 the best part is the double-bluff at the end
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52pm Carmichael:

If I had a gun, try and take away my beer.
Avatar 5:53pm C.T. Lee:

Ooh this is nice! Four Tet vibes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm Scott67:

Feldpausch, yeah, but I don't wanna have too put you in the trunk man!
  5:53pm Eric Kilkenny:

I'd like to go on the Tour-De-Hotdog of Montreal with you sometime @Otis
Avatar 5:54pm StringOFperils:

A bible, a gun, five wives, and 10000 shares in Cannabis Corp. We can move that hot-dog water for you too, for the right price.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm Scott67:

Avatar 5:55pm Otis:

Anytime Eric, we would have had fun tripping around today, had coffee and hit 2 record shops, saw some pals and picked up fresh fruit and veggies from a local stand.
Avatar 5:55pm C.T. Lee:

Thanks for the great set!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm Carmichael:

You're a man of leisure, Otis ...
Avatar 5:56pm Otis:

Nice to catch the tail end buddy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm chresti:

Thanks Eric!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm Scott67:

Otis, you can't take Hotdog Liquids across County lines. So you're gonna need a fast car. And a barrel.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm Ed F. Sleestak Jr.:

Fanks, Eric-san!
Avatar 5:58pm StringOFperils:

I enjoyed the Tourette's confessional. And the part of the show I heard was cuss cuss cuss great too. Thanks Special K
Avatar 5:58pm Feldpausch:

Thanks Eric! Don't worry, your show did not inspire a heist (wink)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm Webhamster Henry:

That was fun!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm Scott67:

Eric, thanks mate. Don't ever give me your number, or you will have a radio show to remember.👍😎
  5:59pm Eric Kilkenny:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02pm Carmichael:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02pm Ed F. Sleestak Jr.:

I have a Jetson's record in my purge crate just for you, Eric!
  6:02pm Eric Kilkenny:
