Been in that situation with the rain and storm approaching MANY times on the Delaware River. Always happy it is one way.
Many times of trying I have mastered the art of slipping out of the packed canoe into the clear Delaware for swimming and sliding back in with our a flip or tip.
6 foot plus and gangley limbs help a lot!

We may be doing a family birthday party for my soon to be 11 year old birthday. But we are already attempting to take her and 4 friends to Dorney Park in PA on Sunday.
The weather has been flexing and going crazy for Sunday so we’ll see what happens.
