Sheila- you should really double check with your vet that the dose is correct for your cat. I’ve had a cat get 8 teeth extracted but definitely did not have this problem afterwards but another cat was given pain meds and was having difficulty walking-almost drunk-like, so we went to VERG and found out the dose was a bit high. Uggghhhh.

McIntosh is like a 1970 Silver Cloud Rolls Royce of audiophile gear. From what I am told it is almost ALWAYS the capacitors which need replacing.. (kind of like bigger Transistors) "caps" for short, they get swollen or just worn out. Let me know if this NJ guy is any good.. I have an Amp here which needs some expert eyes on it and expert soldering..

Thanks! Hardly anyone ever mentions specific gear on WFMU... after 30 years of listening ... maybe once or twice! (30 years is a lot!) Capacitors themselves are not hard to find and are fairly cheap, maybe round $20 (?) ... Thinking of doing this myself , actually.. oh, so not a gearhead -- my system's sub-audiophile but I do have a vintage Marantz receiver still in use and long due for an overhaul; and found a Harmon-Kardon cassette deck for a great price last winter, with stimulus money.
