...oh, and hi and i hope you're okay
Avatar 12:09pm Mary Wing:

Hello HELLO!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09pm Ike:

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if work has ever gotten so stressful that you feel nauseous, anxious, and gastrointestinally disturbed and had to take a day off, yet are still freaking out: I see you, I understand you, and I am with you.
Avatar 12:11pm Mary Wing:

Warmest May greetings Phillippe, Ike, David in London, spodiodi, Sylvia, fred, Stanley, Hubig, egould310, RevRab, coelacanth, david w, and Carmichael!! So happy to be back, now how do I do this DJ thing, again?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm David (in London):

Ike, I hear you on that. I found myself in exactly that place about a year and half ago. Luckily, good luck and reasonable judgement allowed me to escape from that and into a much better place. Hope you can, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm David (in London):

Mary, take the long pointy thing and put it on the round black thing. I think that covers all the technical aspects.
Avatar 12:13pm Mary Wing:

I'm delightfully well, had a strict deadline at work to deal with, but now it is OVAH.
  12:14pm spodiodi:

💯 🏁 congrats. glad you're back!
Avatar 12:15pm Mary Wing:

I sorta felt like I was hitting my face with a mallet, though, heh, so I changed my avatar. And hey, Drummer Streamers gotta drum, yo!

Avatar 12:18pm Mary Wing:

Hiya S&M&S and chresti!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Phillippe:

(uh oh, wife just got home after getting a radical new haircut, and I have to go deliver my appaisal. wish me luck...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Phillippe:

I'm gonna need some sort of formal documentation on that...
Avatar 12:20pm Mary Wing:

Just say "youre still as beautiful as the day we met"
Avatar 12:20pm Mary Wing:

Unless she was in a coma at the time, heh.
Avatar 12:20pm Hubig Pie:

Radical new haircuts are what all the vaccinated kids are getting
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Wednesday afternoon! Bring on the ding!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm chresti at work:

Sorry I'm late, internet is spotty in the wilds of Griffith Park.
Good luck Phillippe, say: Wonderful!
Avatar 12:21pm Sylvia:

I know from experience that if she's not happy with it, there's nothing you can say that will make things better
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm David (in London):

"You're still as beautiful as the day you were lying unconscious behind a plastic curtain." Not sure that's gonna fly Mary.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm chresti at work:

Or: Hello, have we met?

Happy wife, happy life.
  12:28pm spodiodi:

\\// hi chresti!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm fred:

@Phillippe: if "I'm gonna need some sort of formal documentation on that..." is your plan for haircut comment, you may want to reconsider
Avatar 12:29pm Sylvia:

or change subject: cocktail? sex? clean the house? ice cream?

anyway, so good you're back Mary
Avatar 12:30pm Mary Wing:

Go for all Sylvia recommends, Phillippe!
Avatar 12:31pm Mary Wing:

Hiya KWilde! What's shaking with you?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm David (in London):

I think our next album might be titled 'Cocktail Sex Ice Cream'.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm Michael 98145:

huzza!
Avatar 12:32pm Sylvia:

sounds a bit like that RHCP album, David
Avatar 12:33pm Mary Wing:

I hope Ben & Jerry are working on that as a new flavor, actually.
Avatar 12:34pm Sylvia:

"tastes like French woman"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Michael 98145:

( this sounds like a TED talk )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Phillippe:

well, on the good side, it still looks pretty good. on the bad side, she did not like it and proceeded directly to the bathroom to start lopping off the parts she didn't like. I'm guessing our dinner plans for the evening are off at this point...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Michael 98145:

uh oh
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Stanley:

In boutiques, when my partner comes out of the changing room, I know the drill. Firstly, she wouldn't have tried it on if she didn't like it, so the question whether I like it or not, is a no brainer but then I get the 'Do you think it's too small/big?' The answer is alway 'What do you think' (then agree). My technique, being observed by the staff, I once got a 10% 'lovely husband' discount at the till.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Handy Haversack:

Welcome back, Mary! Sorry I'm late -- the dog was dragging in this heat!

Hello, Wing'd Chariots!
Avatar 12:39pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I just wanna say that track was neat-o.
...Uh ...did you like it ? ?...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm David (in London):

*takes off hat and bows head in Phillippe's direction*
Avatar 12:40pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...I think it was just long enuff ...sorta thing...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm David (in London):

Handy, pull up a chair and have a pickled egg.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm Phillippe:

she wanted a pixie cut, hair dresser thought she'd look better with a bob, so they settled on something in the middle. her home alterations were done just on the part she sees, and there may need to be a tweak or two on the back. I may have to the Vince Noir route and give her a little trim while she sleeps.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm Phillippe:

On a positive note: she's still gorgeous, and I still qualify as the "Him" in "Is She Really Going Out with Him?"
  12:43pm spodiodi:

nothing is more fun than scissors in bed
  12:44pm bob:

What now?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Stanley:

Chapeau, PB
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Handy Haversack:

Very kind, David. I'll stand you a dram in return.

Hey Handy!
  12:45pm spodiodi:

hola Handy! big ups, Bagpipe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm Stanley:

Hi Handy.
Avatar 12:46pm Hubig Pie:

There's a fine line between a pixie and a bob
Avatar 12:46pm Mary Wing:

Hi Handy, happy Wednesday to you, Kate, and Bagpipe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm Phillippe:

And a pixie named Bob...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Handy Haversack:

He's collapsed in a sunbeam, spodi. He's panting, so I imagine soon he'll join me in the shade until he gets too cool and the dance begins all over again.

Hope you had a nice break, Mary!
Avatar 12:47pm Mary Wing:

Heh, nice Joe Jackson nod, Phillippe: "Pretty women out walking with gorillas down my street..."
Avatar 12:47pm Hubig Pie:

Hello Handy and hound
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm Phillippe:

that about sums it up, Mary
Avatar 12:49pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Praise Bob
...with some pixiedust...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Handy.
You're still broadcasting from your place, Mary? Are you planning to return to the Montgomery Street Education Center® soon?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm Michael 98145:

"A pair of hermetic guitar explorers ..."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm Phillippe:

On a different note, I have to go on camera on a big webex presentation tomorrow after staying dark on all others. My client says we should have stuff in the background that says something about our likes and hobbies to "humanize" us. I think a 64 yr old man with a wall plastered with WFMU bumper stickers may not be sending the kind of message she's looking for.
Avatar 12:53pm Mary Wing:

Yes,Ken, I'm still pre-recording my show at home. I will eventually get back to the station but not just yet.
Avatar 12:54pm Mary Wing:

I like Fred's idea (I think it was Fred?) of having a green screen with a Jandek album cover as the backdrop, heh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Handy Haversack:

She more a WSOU type, Phillippe?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm fred:

@Mary: Yeah, I suggested that, but never got around to pulling it off. I just hide the background with Mayuko's posters from the past years
Avatar 12:58pm Mary Wing:

Survey time: how would you feel if I started using this track as my bed music?
  12:59pm spodiodi:

i'd feel calm
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm fred:

@Mary: confused at first, but I'm not saying it's a bad thing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm Summer and Michael and Sylvia:

It's a great track!
Avatar 1:01pm Mary Wing:

DING
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01pm David (in London):

I'd freak out, cry, but come to accept it after a while.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm Michael 98145:

nice set
  1:03pm spodiodi:

it doesn't have the playful, upbeat fun kinda thing that your current bed music has (that'd be missed), but it is an interesting track
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm Phillippe:

This is WFMU, Mary. If we can't handle change, we might as well go listen to classic rock
Avatar 1:04pm Mary Wing:

Queen of the dings, that's me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04pm Phillippe:

Not sure of that station, Handy
Avatar 1:04pm Hubig Pie:

I would think, "damn, that's some fine bed music, yo"
Avatar 1:05pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...it might need minor trimming...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05pm coelacanth∅:

i'd enjoy that track every time i heard it...but i do think maybe someone else uses it as bed music already...?
Avatar 1:06pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Why not use both as mood hits ?
Avatar 1:06pm Mary Wing:

Really, coelacanth??
  1:06pm egould310:

Yay projects being done!! I know that game. Last week was brutal for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06pm fred:

Yeah, as long as you don't suddenly switch to gongs, I think I'll be fine
Avatar 1:07pm Mary Wing:

Oh lordy, egould, I hear you; Ibusted my ass these past few weeks, it was not fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm coelacanth∅:

Mary, i think so, a loop of it (which is ironic as itself employs loops)
i could be mistaken but then i don't know where i would've heard it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Andrew Waterloo:

good afternoon!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Andrew Waterloo:

got the fan blowing, enjoying the set so far, waiting for a job offer
Avatar 1:11pm Mary Wing:

Hi Andrew! Fingers crossed for you! (Which makes it hard to type, heh)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm fred:

@Mary and egould: I know that too. The past week was even worse: after a week spend trying to track down a bug, the client said "Hey, my bad, I was reading the wrong file. Also, I'm not paying for the time you spent since what you sent was right to begin with"
Avatar 1:15pm jimbrux:

Hey Mary and Wingnuts. Had a shit day but this bit of wah-wah heavy African funk is helping turn things around!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Andrew Waterloo:

Thank you Mary
This one is moving fast.. was struggling with interviews.. then Monday I got a call, and they ask me if I could go in that afternoon.. so met with a guy I worked with before, and he offered me a position
Avatar 1:18pm Mary Wing:

Sheesh, that sucks, fred
Avatar 1:19pm Mary Wing:

Hi there Jimbrux! Wah-wah for the win, I say!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm Handy Haversack:

I just noticed that I'm less than a year now from being at my job for twenty years! Sheesh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20pm doctorjazz:

Hi all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20pm David (in London):

Handy, for that I have prepared you a bonus pickled egg.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm David (in London):

doctorjazz - how was your birthday dinner?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Carmichael:

I've been at my gig for 21 years. And in 15 months I will thankfully retire and never work again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Stanley:

Sheesh, indeed, Handy.
Me too, twenty years in the same business but gradually pruning the client list to get to a one-day-a-week work schedule, hopefully by the end of the summer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Phillippe:

Been working my butt off over here on a big project, with 4 smaller ones awarded but waiting for funding. After our big presentation tomorrow, we head into the home stretch, wrapping that project up. So I'm going to go from being stressed from overwork to being stressed by not knowing when the next contracts will be funded. I like time off as much as the next guy, but I'd rather the whens and wheres of it all be my choice.
Avatar 1:23pm Mary Wing:

Hi doctorjazz!
Avatar 1:24pm Mary Wing:

Me too, over 20 years at the same chicken coop.
Avatar 1:25pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I'm a dirty socialist beatnik.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm doctorjazz:

Hey, David (in London), it was great, thanks! My daughter made a terrific beef mushroom barley soup (I'm not a fancy guy), wife made a pecan pie, a fine time was had by all.
Avatar 1:26pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...to the tune of: don't need a job, need a final solution...
Avatar 1:26pm Hubig Pie:

In one month's time, I gonna hang up my gravy ladle and slotted spoons and call it a day
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Phillippe:

That's great to hear Carmichael and Hubig.
Best wishes for a long and happy retirement.

Avatar 1:30pm Hubig Pie:

Shookran ya Stanley
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm doctorjazz:

Yesterday, May 18 I was officially a year older (They Might Be Giants keeps playing in my head..."you're older than you'll ever be, and now you're even older, and now you're even older, and now you're older still...")
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm Handy Haversack:

Happy birthday, doctorjazz!

Retiring ... I am not sure I believe that we will ever get to do that. Unless it's to a cardboard box on a heating grate.
Avatar 1:32pm Sylvia:

oh, then Happy belated Birthday doctorjazz!

Hey, Wing'd Host: Has anyone seen Really Lisa lately? I feel like it's been a long time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm Andrew Waterloo:

Well.. I've learned two lessons these past few months: 1 have a portfolio. 2. find a list of standard interview questions and study the hell out of them. There are a bunch of other little things, but if you're serious about the first 2 you'll be dealing with them.
Avatar 1:35pm Sylvia:

Thanks Hubig! Yours coming or past?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm coelacanth∅:

Mary i went to the thinking room (shower) and realised the bed music in question was Daniel Blumin's; but not exactly!
sparkle division is a looping artist and i think looped the music that Daniel used ("uses",if the management gets his priorities straight) to make a bed loop from.
... or i could be totally wrong and they're just very similar.
Avatar 1:38pm Sylvia:

@Handy if only! it was mostly kids and cake
I think I saw Lisa once last week or so, just saying hi on comments then going away
Avatar 1:38pm Hubig Pie:

Sylvia and Dr J. On the 6th, so a different astrological season I think

It's a good thing I ignore my birthday, because otherwise I'd have the Greasy Kid Stuff birthday song stuck in my head
Avatar 1:39pm Sylvia:

thank you David!

@Hubig Pie yes, we're Taurus(es?), you're an Aries
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm Handy Haversack:

I hear you, Stanley.

Thanks, Sylvia! Good to hear. Also, if you see Nulsh, please pass on bday greetings. I seem to encounter him only rarely lately -- mainly if I fail to sleep in on Saturday and catch some of Jeffrey Davidson's show.

Thanks, David!
Avatar 1:40pm TDK60:

Hi Mary. It's been a little while, I think.
Avatar 1:41pm Mary Wing:

Hi TDK60! Mere specks of dust in the vortex of time, but yeah! Good to be back!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm David (in London):

Yo TDK.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Stanley:

Nulsh is fine but very busy. I catch him now and again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm coelacanth∅:

...in any case it wouldn't be the first or only time 2 different show hosts used the same bed music.
Rich in Washington uses the same as Sam Segal; and someone besides Frank O'Toole used the route 66 theme

. . . also, you could have more than 1 bed music per program

will do Handy! usually we meet on Jeffrey's and Carol's
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44pm Handy Haversack:

I love both those shows but feel like sleeping till 9 on the weekend mornings is a survival strategy at this point.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm doctorjazz:

Thanks, Rev!
Avatar 1:45pm TDK60:

Yo, David north-of-Epsom.
Avatar 1:45pm Sylvia:

yeah, I hear you, I can listen live because I'm in France, but when in NY, sleep!
Avatar 1:46pm Mary Wing:

True coelacanth, but I think there's enough music out there that we don't need to share bed music, heh. I'm glad you figured out about Daniel Blumin's bed music though, that would have bothered me for weeks.
Avatar 1:46pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

GawddessBless the insomniacs & FMU's contrary spirit - but late night programming is not always forgiving if you leave it on to sleep...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46pm Stanley:

Hi TDK60.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm Stanley:

Rev - talking of which, we've got Vortex of Chaos, tonight/this morning
Avatar 1:49pm Mary Wing:

I like Freedy's lyric "we discovered our intials matched" because that is the sort of dumb thing I pay attention to, heh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm Phillippe:

this is nice
Avatar 1:50pm TDK60:

Hey there, Stanley south-of-Orkneys.
Avatar 1:50pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...is of course the time-honored tradition of hiding your more outre stuff from yer genteel prime-time patrons - but not sure how that might apply w/ FMU...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm Phillippe:

happy birthday Sylvia!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm Handy Haversack:

Rev Rab, I guess it applies to WAB and the Sat. line-up? At least a broader base of appeal?
Avatar 1:53pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Certainly how I grew up - staying awake for the weirdo media...
Avatar 1:53pm Sylvia:

merci Phillippe !
Avatar 1:53pm TDK60:

Handy, just had a thought. I finished that book on canoeing. I could send it in the post across metro.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Handy Haversack:

TDK60, did I tell you our local bookstore said they couldn't order it?

Are you going to attend the Glistener Gathering on 6/11? Maybe we could make some exchanges then?
Avatar 1:56pm TDK60:

Handy, no you didn't. Their reason? | I heard about that, would like to go. Maybe..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm David (in London):

Oh, good call Mary. I always thought this was very underrated Bowie.
Avatar 1:58pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Avatar 1:59pm Mary Wing:

Sha-la-la-la-la, David
Avatar 1:59pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm Handy Haversack:

Not available from their distributor, which likely means the publisher has not reprinted.

Though it looks like the Strand has one in their warehouse ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm doctorjazz:

The Charlie Haden Liberation Music Orchestra do a great version of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm Stanley:

This is rather Pat Metheny - lite
Avatar 2:01pm Mary Wing:

Noted for future 3oak treatment, doctorjazz. :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm Handy Haversack:

Mary, did you hear the cover of Tears for Fears' "Shout" that Julie played yesterday? Really good!
Avatar 2:04pm Mary Wing:

No, but I will check it out, Handy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Hey Mary, welcome back! Glad all is good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm fred:

Ken played Barry Adamson's Something Wicked This Way Comes earlier today

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10pm Phillippe:

Mary, you have to do 12oaK to get caught up since you were out 3 weeks...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:13pm Handy Haversack:

Sounds fun, coela!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm David (in London):

TTFM Coela.
Avatar 2:15pm Hubig Pie:

You gonna hike it or single track bike it, C-lo?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm Handy Haversack:

I assumed he was going to wine it and dine it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm David (in London):

Or move it and groove it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm Phillippe:

Have fun, coel! watch out for them ticks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm David (in London):

Amy had the best Jewish London blues since Peter Green.
Avatar 2:17pm Hubig Pie:

And snakes. Keep an eye out for them snakes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:19pm Stanley:

And bears? Enjoy coela
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm Phillippe:

yeah, them snakes... Caught a four-foot brown water snake last week in my 20-inch bait trap. He swam in to munch on minnows and couldn't figure out to get out and drowned. he was in a figure 8 just to fit. Not a fan of 'em, but don't want to kill 'em either.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm Stanley:

Thought I recognised this ol' crooner
Avatar 2:22pm Hubig Pie:

Oh and mountain lions. Iffn you see one, make yourself big
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm David (in London):

Hats off to Bryan there. Good version.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm Handy Haversack:

Poor snake!

There's a cottonwood two yards over, and the White Wind has begun to blow (technically, from beyond the Wall of Sleep, which is what we call the knotweed along the fence).

Hubig, I don't think they've seen mountain lions in upstate NY in quite a while! Though I have heard reports of them in Michigan -- and maybe got a trail cam picture of one!
Avatar 2:26pm Sylvia:

these covers are very pleasant
  2:26pm egould310:

Hey! This is the same song over and over and over and over. 110% Whatever.
Avatar 2:27pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Imagining a slow feedbacky GittarBand interpretation. Because of course I am.
Avatar 2:28pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Ah. LeonardCohen picking stylee...
Avatar 2:29pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Fado...
Avatar 2:31pm Hubig Pie:

Handy, they reside in my neighborhood. I've spotted one twice on the bike trail. One was stalking a doe and fawn but I crashed the party
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm David (in London):

Could hear Jeff Buckley doing this.
Avatar 2:33pm Hubig Pie:

Nice 3oak. Missed this weekly installment
Avatar 2:33pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

DavidiL - Ooooo.
Avatar 2:34pm Mary Wing:

Aw, thanks, Hubig. I've been rethinking my show lately, and was debating phasing out 3oak.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:36pm Handy Haversack:

Yeah, they seem to be making small inroads east of the Mississippi again, Hubig. I think they are in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37pm fred:

I love interesting covers, so I hope you keep 3oak
Avatar 2:38pm Hubig Pie:

New bed music and phasing out 3oak. It'll still be a great show but I'm a sucker for covers
Avatar 2:38pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yet to see a big wild kitty in NH - but not impossible...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:39pm Handy Haversack:

Yeah, 3OAK is a great feature. Though it's your show, Mary! Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:39pm Stanley:

This very good version, this.
Avatar 2:40pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Hm ! Maybe dialing 3oak down to really 3 ?? Or something... Whatever you do I'm sure you'll have reasons.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm David (in London):

I love 3AOK. I like seeing the way some artists can take a distinctive song and push it into directions that make it their own.
Avatar 2:41pm Hubig Pie:

Handy, I'm decidedly north by northwest of the Mississippi
Avatar 2:41pm Mary Wing:

I'm a sucker for covers, too, hence the origin of 3oak, heh. I am just tossing around ideas; probably nothing will change, heh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42pm Handy Haversack:

I was going to advocate for making it four hours long, but then I remembered that whenever a change like that happens, I end up trying to deal with a whole new set of WFMU vs. WFMU conflicts and it's totally exhausting. My clicking fingers are still sore from the Julie/Creamo jump fest yesterday!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm Phillippe:

Wait, no more 3oak is being considered? Just when my PTSD symptoms were abating...
Avatar 2:44pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

One virtue of 3oak : don't know anybody else doing it !
...I try & divide myself twixt Creamo & Julie - what can one do...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm David (in London):

I hate the Julie / Creamo decision - it's the low point of my FMU week.
Whatever I decide, I feel like a traitor.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm Phillippe:

Julie was very kind to me (as were many of you) when I was posting about a very difficult time in my life, so she has earned my loyalty. Easy decision for moi.
Avatar 2:46pm TDK60:

I had that same feeling, David. There are the archives. Or, the habit some have of flitting back and forth! Hee.
Avatar 2:46pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Fortunately - Julie goes later - so that hour is easy to choose... Creamo is more of a gnarly Genre program - so I get a fix & shift over. Not *that* easy - cause of course, he's really really good @ that...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Handy Haversack:

It's mainly frustrating when I can't stop working at 3 and devote myself fully to jumping between the shows. It's always stupid work that messes up a good thing!
Avatar 2:48pm Mary Wing:

This is interesting to hear! I figure most people choose one show rather than swtich back and forth; was there the same dilemma when David Dichelle was on Tuesdays?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Stanley:

Same for me with Bryce and Hinky Dinky Time.
Avatar 2:48pm TDK60:

I've heard a lot of punk and listen to it less these days. So I check in with Creamo every few weeks or so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm fred:

I usually listen to Creamo on the archives (especially the CT specials). These days I don't like listening at night. I should be at a show instead. Someday...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm Ken From Hyde Park:

One show on the laptop. Other show on the phone.
Avatar 2:51pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yes all this - & now the Alt streams are just filling out & get more relevant ! ...I realized I don't know a *single* program on the Sheena stream yet - !!
I never picked up on Archives - because listing to them require of me a 'timeslot' too ! While more bitchen stuff is streaming 'now'...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Phillippe:

@KFHP I kinda have to do that with Little Danny's show, but all devices are dedicated to the same show. One to stream the music and comments, one for the Flame-O-Scope
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm Handy Haversack:

Mary, I only discovered David's show when Julie moved to Tuesdays! It's a real benefit of the Julie/Creamo internal struggle that now I know the Continental Subway.

Yeah, as much as I love that the Archives are there, when am I supposed to find the time to listen to them?!

Newest conflict for me is Medson's new R&S Stream show vs. the last hour of Sheila and all of Stashu.
Avatar 2:54pm Mary Wing:

did he say "kept her whip wet" for real???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm Phillippe:

Nice Mary, that's 12! You caught up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm fred:

@RevRab: I have the same "problem". I gave up on W&B, in part because there too much repetition for me, in part because there is this real community I don't want to intrude on. That's archive time for me
Avatar 2:56pm TDK60:

Thanks, Mary. See ya soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57pm David (in London):

Great show today Mary, you return in triumph.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Phillippe:

Thanks Mary! Later y'alls! Peace & love!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Wunnerful 3oaK! @Stanley. Mixing Hinky & Bryce could cause Hemispheric Separation!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Handy Haversack:

Back in blast! As in this show was one! Thanks, Mary! Great to have you back.

Later on, O Wing'd Chariots!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Stanley:

Mary, if this was your last 3oak, then I'd say you went out on a bang.
Great stuff, many thanks.
Avatar 2:58pm Mary Wing:

Stick around for DJ Balck Helmet, playlist is here: wfmu.org...
  2:58pm spodiodi:

thanks, Mary! couldn't have lasted another week :)
take care everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm Stanley:

Kevin - absolutely that's why usually I alternate.
Avatar 2:59pm Sylvia:

thank you, Mary! until next week!
Avatar 2:59pm Hubig Pie:

A++ ,3oak
Avatar 3:00pm Mary Wing:

Thanks for listening!!
Avatar 3:00pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Handy frankly I'm leaning strongly medson - crude Rawkist that I am ...SheilaB is top drawer quality - but I can OD on the Pop sometimes. & Stashu is great fun - but I've 'done' that for a while - & I kinda 'got it' if you know what I mean? Stashu's should be done with Friday beers anyhow, optimally... which I don't got jut now... Honestly also this w/ 'Mind Control' : it's great, but I 'got it'... Julie over that as it happens...
TY As Ever DJ MaryWing !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Mary. Have a good week!
