  12:25am Bela from Budapest:

Good morning Rich!
Avatar 12:25am TonyR:

Is the Temples track the one with all these "Aaaahs"? 'Cause I think I starred the wrong one. I HATE it when the accuplaylist is fast and efficient!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25am Scott67:

Yay coel! Luxury, if more expensive!✌😎🎉
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29am coelacanth∅:

Scott i need to decide whether to quickly and at a loss sell most of my records and get another housemate in a month or 2; or set myself up for an ongoing business selling stuff, and use that room as a warehouse
. . .
but yes for the time being i'm enjoying it fully!
  12:30am rich:

tonyr yes the temples track had all the aaaahs
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31am Scott67:

Anita was a great Aussie singer!
  12:32am phat in Lincoln:

Who is that singing with Anita Lane? It's not Blixa, is it? I hardly know her stuff, which is a shame
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32am Scott67:

Just gone last month.😐
  12:33am rich:

phat yes it was blixa
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33am coelacanth∅:

i thought it sounded like Blixa
  12:33am phat in Lincoln:

This has been the best half hour of music I've experienced in ages, and I've experienced a lot recently. Just killing it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35am chresti:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36am Scott67:

G'day chresti.😎🤙
Avatar 12:37am northguineahills:

ok. that was fun. I also picked the lock of the hotel's utility closet to get some TP, Kleenex and soap. (should have got towels, verdammt!). THe cleaning staff always seem to be low when they come by hotel room.
  12:37am rich:

Avatar 12:43am northguineahills:

I feel like I should listen to rich and watch a Kenneth Anger film....
  12:43am rich:

which one?
  12:44am phat in Lincoln:

Sometimes I think the "weaker" singers sing pop songs better.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45am coelacanth∅:

hi chrestì!
  12:46am phat in Lincoln:

I grew up singing in choirs and always felt my voice couldn't hack it in a pop context because I wasn't a great singer, to be honest. But I was just reminded that's bs.
  12:46am phat in Lincoln:

Now I gotta figure out how to write lyrics that I don't hate. Lol.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am coelacanth∅:

rich (@1237) yeah, and he got the dog
Avatar 12:48am northguineahills:

@phat: i had a great voice before puberty in church choir and school chorus, then, social anxiety set in. I did eventually do vocals in other and my bands (mostly experimental, but also indoe).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50am Scott67:

Ah the dog coel! 🐾 Sorry to hear mate. Hope you can work out a self supporting buisness soon.
  12:50am phat in Lincoln:

@northguineahills the last rock band I was I did some backup vocals and it was a hell of a lot of fun. But I haven't really stretched out, mostly trying to sound like someone else.
Swag For Life Member 12:53am zzz:

ooooh very nice. settling in for this In C :)
  12:53am phat in Lincoln:

I could probably always use more Terry Riley in my life
  12:54am phat in Lincoln:

Speaking of stretching out!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55am coelacanth∅:

Scott my sister still has my 3 favorite dogs!
"Saint" is his dog so obviously he's gone... but he's an awesome one, and he liked me a lot too. i liked living with a dog that wasn't mainly my responsibility!
Thanks though
  12:57am rich:

phat as someone who cannot sing but once a year embarrasses himself doing so for the station i can honestly say it doesn’t matter because no matter how bad my singing is it will always be better than my ability in any sport, science, or advanced mathematics
  12:57am rich:

good morning zzz enjoy

Rich, Thank you for this journey into sound!
  2:52am rich:

bela, thank you for listening
  2:53am rich:

and the inflatable squirrel carcasa shuts its doors for the foreseeable future (though i do have the keys if those doors ever need to be opened again). this has been an interesting 14 months. i am thrilled that i was able to provide radio from the apartment where i (and tamar) live. i spent a lot of time with music during this period and i’ve never tired of it nor found it impossible to find something new or interesting. i’ve rediscovered music that i haven’t listened to regularly for years. i’ve worked harder the last 14 months than i ever did on the show previously and having everything sort of prepared for friday night/saturday morning ahead of time (songs and order “figured out”) allowed me the opportunity to engage with you, the listener, and i now find that to be one of the most satisfying aspecits of the show. i thank you for helping me get through this period in our lives, and i feel honored and humbled if this show was able to help you get through this period in any way. if even for a moment wfmu helped you relax, breathe, chill, remember, dream, fly, laugh, cry, hear the grass grow, appreciate, wonder, smile, sweat, feel the weight fall off your shoulders, hear a who, sing along, see the giant invisible rabbit that follows each of us around, discover something that made it all okay, tear down a wall you never saw before, think through things, make a decision, empathize, fight the good fight, scratch an itch, dance the night away, dance the day away, dance about architecture, realize your place in the universe, experience an epiphany, introduced you to something new, fed your head, sent chills up and/or down your spine, caused your senses to work overtime, made the visions smell and the feelings taste, expanded the borders of your own private idaho, sent you spinning around the room, made you dance the batusi, well, then we did our job. have a safe, healthy, and happy week, enjoy life, respect it, and stay tuned for joe. thank you for listening.
