Oh, I feel your pain vanhooserd!! Yes get someone to move the vinyl!! Mad heavy!! I'm dreading the possibility of having to move mine! Except for a few hundred I sold to my friends at Other Music, the rest have not gone anywhere in 30 years.. Five flights up... How many do you have to move?

vanhooserd moving after 30 years seems overwhelming to me!! Hope you don't have many flights of stairs to contend with, and that you're moving to a sweet place.. Imagine you scored some great classical records, and we know to have a comprehensive collection is a huge commitment!! If I recall, 25 years ago many classical music fans were unloading all of their vinyl, in order to not have to change records when listening to operas.. they really embraced digital technology, but in many cases grew tired of it after a while. My brother played classical violin professionally in NYC for over 30 years. Live and studio work.. he used to collect 78's back then.. rare, obscure and brilliant performances by more than a few of his mentors! It's endless!! I must have been dreaming thinking I would just stop buying records in my mid 30's..!! Having started a collection at age 12, I'm point to point too hard wired to stop!

Hope you have your knee issues managed now.. it's some of the slowest recovery time I've ever experienced.. not much shock absorption at those joints..
