Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm chresti:

Hi LD!
Avatar 12:13pm Otis:

What movie is that talkover gif from? Trying to place it, starred the gif from a previous Duggy show. It's a seamless gif, reels always in loop mode.
Avatar 12:14pm Mr Fab:

I tune in, first thing I hear is a yodeler singing about doin the bullfrog boogie. Good morning, Sheena!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Mr Fab!
Avatar 12:17pm Feldpausch:

Hi Jan! Hi all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Otis, again I don't know. Sometimes I go in tumblr addict mode and swipe 100 gifs a minute for hours, without reading. I'm glad I can put them to any use at all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Feldpausch!
Avatar 12:18pm Otis:

I figured, it's a grab bag out there of a billion fun gifs. If anybody knows the film, just curious. Moreover, love the way the gif is in a perfect loop of starting/stopping the reels, a fav.
Avatar 12:18pm Otis:

Hey Ooooo Fabu n' Feldy!
Avatar 12:21pm Justin B.:

Heya Froggers!
Avatar 12:21pm Mr Fab:

Otis, that's Gene Hackman in"The Conversations."
Avatar 12:21pm Otis:

Awesome Fab! Thanks!!
Avatar 12:23pm Otis:

It all comes together Fab. The soundtrack for The Conversation was released on vinyl by Jonny Trunk. Will dig into it now and dig it for FP. Super!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar 12:36pm Mr Fab:

Hey, it’s that guy who did that “sas plan poom wah” song!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm HyperDose:

@Mr Fab That's the first thing I thought but I didn't know the words to google it haha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm chresti:

That tape gif reminds me of front load dryers.

chrestikins!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm Franco Twinkie:

Hi Jan! My mom gave me Their Satanic Majesties Requests for Christmas in 1967. We played it in rotation with Forever Changes by Love and Strange Days by The Doors constantly the rest of our holiday from school the rest of that year. That Stones record fell into disfavor for many years, and was routinely dismissed by people who presumed to know something about music. I for one am glad that it is finally getting the recognition it deserves as a unique diversion in the Rolling Stone oeuvre.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Franco! I can relate to that!
Avatar 12:54pm Mr Fab:

Right on, Franco! Some of my faves on that one, plus the bitchen 3-d cover. Never understood why white Brits ripping off the blues was more legit than trippy psych...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Franco Twinkie:

Fab, you are so right!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

confession: I've never listened to that album, nor any RS album other than Some Girls, which I bought as one of my first record purchases when I was a wee kid. Homework!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

I think I liked the record cover
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm Franco Twinkie:

Some Girls is a great way to get started!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

omx, I drew faces in the cut out section of the cover. I totally need to photograph that and make it my avatar image. Shattered is one of my karaoke go-to's!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Franco Twinkie:

Yup!
Avatar 1:00pm Little Danny:

I never noticed how much "More" and "Telstar" kinda share a melody.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm Franco Twinkie:

Hi Danny!
Avatar 1:15pm Otis:

I have been lambasted over fires for proclaming proudly that Satanic Majesties is my favorite Stones album. Meh, in the same right, I often point to Leonard Nimoy's 5th album or Mrs. Miller's 4th as crowning achievements, so whadda I know.
Avatar 1:15pm Otis:

Hey ya Franco & Granny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

hey Otis!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

wow, I sure do want to join the armed forces now!!!! (not)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Franco Twinkie:

Otis, this conversation about what both taste makers and no-nothings decree is worth exploring.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm Jan Turkenburg:

Agree, after all music is just moving air.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24pm Franco Twinkie:

That said, we all know that moving air can carry deadly germs.
Avatar 1:25pm Otis:

And moves waves in different ways.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm Jan Turkenburg:

😁
Avatar 1:26pm Ursula1000:

hey Jan and Sheenaheads
Avatar 1:26pm Otis:

Franco, sounds like a good on-air zoom convo one show soon in the jungle room for sure. Ponder the ponderless.
Avatar 1:26pm Otis:

Hey Ursula, still draped in purple here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Ursula1k!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm Franco Twinkie:

Active air molecules is probably more accurate.
Avatar 1:27pm Ursula1000:

ahhhh THAT'S that smell of lavender I keep getting a whiff of Otis!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm HyperDose:

Vibrating air is medicine. Who would have thought.
Avatar 1:28pm Otis:

Lavender hair products for the proper curl Ursula!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm Franco Twinkie:

Yes! Good one HyperDose.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm HyperDose:

This is like a mix of MC Chris and Asher Roth. Very cool!
Avatar 1:33pm Feldpausch:

Jan, love the idea music is moving air. The age-old question "when a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it make a sound? NO. It makes vibration. It tales an ear canal to receive 'sound'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm Franco Twinkie:

Since music is ubiquitous, and more so for this crowd that the general population I suspect, it needs to be examined in terms that go beyond I like this, don't like that.
Avatar 1:34pm Feldpausch:

And playing a violin is only scraping a cat's entrails with horsehair.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm HyperDose:

So violins and haggis are basically cousins
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm Jan Turkenburg:

LOL, Hyperdose!
Avatar 1:38pm Otis:

Always nice to hear Chenard mixing it up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm Jan Turkenburg:

I got this one from Frits Jonker's blog as 'unknown artist'. I have a feeling somebody out there knows who made this...
Avatar 1:42pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Leve gatenkaas!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hey PK!
Avatar 1:42pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Hi Jan, hi Duggateers.
Avatar 1:43pm Mr Fab:

Don't think that was Foetus, but his style. Super cool, whoever did it.
Avatar 1:44pm Justin B.:

Yodeling AND throat singing??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44pm chresti:

I wonder who came up with the idea to make stringed instruments with entrails?
Avatar 1:44pm Paper Kosmonaut:

It would be great to see the written-out lyrics of this song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm chresti:

I'm enjoying this pigfart song!
Avatar 1:46pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Pilgrim's travel.
Avatar 1:46pm Paper Kosmonaut:

But yours is funnier.
Avatar 1:47pm Justin B.:

Who knew Switzerland produced good music. It ain't just cuckoo clocks after all!
Avatar 1:47pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Crowd rock?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm chresti:

Thanks PK, for the translation.
Avatar 1:49pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Justin - Yello is from Switzerland too. Ooooh yeah.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm Jan Turkenburg:

I like the word 'crowd rock' PK!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm chresti:

Jan I was searching the archives for a show in 2001 and FDL came up in the results!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm chresti:

I was looking for a past Stork Club show^
Avatar 1:54pm Justin B.:

Ooooh Ja, can't forget Yello
Avatar 1:54pm Paper Kosmonaut:

I love Wally's voice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm Jan Turkenburg:

chresti, how is that possible?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm chresti:

wfmu.org...
Avatar 2:01pm Otis:

Have a good evening Jan and see some of you soon in the stew!
Avatar 2:02pm Feldpausch:

Thanks Jan!
Avatar 2:03pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Bye Jan, to me, it was short but powerful. Thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm chresti:

I didn't actually click the results, though..
Thanks Jan! Franco's out hunting-gathering burritos, he says thanks, too!
Avatar 2:04pm Otis:

Tomorrow will be fun. New slots and I'll be sandwich'ed in-between Eric and Shangri-lounge! Oh yea!
Avatar 2:04pm Otis:

Thanks Jan for all the show-shout-outs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm HyperDose:

Go Jan! That was fantastic! Thanks for another fun show!
Avatar 2:07pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Brazil nuts!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm Jan Turkenburg:
