I heard too much of it in the eighties. Though I do kinda like how Steve Perry walked away. "I'm done now. I like staying home. It was fun while it was fun. I have more than enough money now, anyway." He seems like an OK guy, even if he oversaturated my ears.

	9:31pm Rick A: Leave it to EFD to tap into my adolescence with this Chicago track. This was their comeback album after Terry Cath shot himself. I have typically been ashamed that I like this song. However, hearing it on WFMU gives me some peace of mind.

I used to have the (or a) Neil Schon & Jan Hammer album, but I sold it when I divested myself if all my Jan Hammer records 30 years ago. I kept the Jeff Beck ones. I kinda wish I'd kept the Jan Hammer "there are no guitars on this album" rock albums--especially the one with Manic Depression.

	9:42pm Elle Tor's Husband: Growing up in SF - the thing to do was go to Winterland and see Journey ( before Loud Mouth joined the band) Greg Rollie was basically the lead singer coming from Santana.They were a really good band back then (75'?). We went to a local TV show one afternoon to see them live and Loud Mouth was in the band by then and they lip-synced to "Wheels In The Sky" that was the end. Then I sent years printing their tour shirts. Literally years.

	♥ 10:09pm McGroovey: The last time I did the Record Club, I got good stuff: it was that moment in the early nineties when major labels were wishing they'd been the smart ones who signed Nirvana, and they were signing indy bands, or bands that would have been on indies. So I got Dinosaur Jr and Ride and the Pixies and ah jeez I can't remember the 10 either.

	♥ 10:12pm Will the Sound Guy: ill take a well cared after tape over a cd if you are listening to the whole side, or album. cd's are decent after they figured out how to master for them. CDs are definitely easier to cue

We live in a tiny, crowded hallway, and we thought we'd get rid of the jewel cases and so bought a few big wallets, only to find that they are useless for preserving anything besides naked disks, and we freaked out and put them all back (now alphabetized at least). We're totally screwed. At some point a bookshelf will collapse. If you don't see me post for a week, send in dogs that can also carry booze through fallen books.

	♥ 10:25pm Will the Sound Guy: any well cared for medium will continue to work for some time. records in my opinion take the cake, they will play in a cave with a waterpowered player with a needle and a papercup in a post apocalyptic world.

The simple Analog of sound wave & record groove is robust - otoh every time you play them they erode... to say nothing of scratches, fractures, dirt & dust - inconsistent playback speed &tc. ...

I have more than enough money now, anyway." He seems like an OK guy, even if he oversaturated my ears.

I used to have the (or a) Neil Schon & Jan Hammer album, but I sold it when I divested myself if all my Jan Hammer records 30 years ago. I kept the Jeff Beck ones. I kinda wish I'd kept the Jan Hammer "there are no guitars on this album" rock albums--especially the one with Manic Depression.

	9:42pm Elle Tor's Husband: Growing up in SF - the thing to do was go to Winterland and see Journey ( before Loud Mouth joined the band) Greg Rollie was basically the lead singer coming from Santana.They were a really good band back then (75'?). We went to a local TV show one afternoon to see them live and Loud Mouth was in the band by then and they lip-synced to "Wheels In The Sky" that was the end. Then I sent years printing their tour shirts. Literally years.

	♥ 10:09pm McGroovey: The last time I did the Record Club, I got good stuff: it was that moment in the early nineties when major labels were wishing they'd been the smart ones who signed Nirvana, and they were signing indy bands, or bands that would have been on indies. So I got Dinosaur Jr and Ride and the Pixies and ah jeez I can't remember the 10 either.

We live in a tiny, crowded hallway, and we thought we'd get rid of the jewel cases and so bought a few big wallets, only to find that they are useless for preserving anything besides naked disks, and we freaked out and put them all back (now alphabetized at least). We're totally screwed. At some point a bookshelf will collapse. If you don't see me post for a week, send in dogs that can also carry booze through fallen books.
