  9:35pm N'Lo:

Yay! Here for the ladies, the ladies are here for you!
  9:37pm paparay:

@ Justin: Most of them are. I play a few 45's & LP's. 97% all 12" singles. USA domestic & promos. And of course imports. I plan to post pics on my Instagram for the non-believers.
Avatar 9:39pm Johnny Too Bad:

@DJLorraine lols on the 9:11 W.

  9:46pm paparay:

Berlin's Riding On The Metro is often shown on MTV's computer programmed 120 Minutes of nostalgia for creativity

@ Johnny Too Bad: And you didn't call me?

  10:13pm Christophe:

Juju was THE BOMB
  10:13pm paparay:

Not many have heard the extended 12" of Spellbound.
  10:16pm N'Lo:

Delete if an inappropriate plug, but just found a sort of academic treatise on Peepshow! https://atomicbooks.com/products/33-1-3-siouxsie-and-the-banshees-peepshow?_pos=1&_sid=06ef7b8f0&_ss=r
  10:16pm paparay:

@N'Lo: Hmmmmmm....
Avatar 10:19pm Frank Verplanck:

This is taking me back, love it. Les Rita Mitsouko would fit right in, methinks.
  10:19pm Gerry from Miami:

Siouxsie Sue was underrated during the New Wave era. She's right up there with Chrissie Hynde, Annie Lenox and Debby Harry.
  10:20pm Christophe:

I would put Siouxsie above all those, who are great
  10:20pm paparay:

@ Frank Verplanck: Tune in next week, I've got one for ya!!!
Avatar 10:20pm Frank Verplanck:

I don't know, Gerry, Siouxsie got her props. Don't know if she made as much money as the others, but respected and admired for sure.
  10:20pm Christophe:

I had not heard the extended spell
Avatar 10:21pm Frank Verplanck:

Looking forward to it paparay, as always.
  10:22pm J Boogie:

That’s happened to me a few times.
  10:22pm paparay:

@ Gerry from Miami: Siouxsie did her thing. Don't know about the money side of things. They did reform and tour. I see her on social media hanging at fashion shows and w/ some icons. She did release solo bits I think or even under The Creatures.
  10:31pm ledzeppelinsucks:

New York City was a dump when this was new
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34pm Stevel:

Mats! Good to be here!
  10:34pm J Boogie:

My introduction to the Replacements
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34pm luka:

Mats all time heater
  10:40pm N'Lo:

The Creatures’ Hai! is I think a swan song but a master work.
  10:42pm Justin:

Creatures are really underrated.
  10:49pm Stevel:

When did “what I like about you” come out, and how was it not as popular as My Sharona?
  10:50pm paparay:

@ Stevel: Budweiser owns that tune now!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm luka:

this michael shelley show had a killer Romantics interview segment www.wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm luka:

billy idol all time slapper
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04pm HyperDose:

Feeling this groove!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06pm chresti:

I love the Heptones.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09pm chresti:

Tripe Girl, is a favorite Heptones' song.
  11:09pm paparay:

@ chresti: Met 2 out of the 3 members during my music industry stint. Only one never met was Leroy Sibbles the lead singer. Barry I ran into in Brooklyn years ago. He passed away. Met Earl Morgan the other singer. Great guy. Shared some great stories.
  11:11pm phat:

This Nu Shooz might be the most 80s record of all.
  11:12pm paparay:

Had some turntable issues there folks! Live radio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13pm Threemoons:

Heyo all. Lurking, gonna make late dins...
  11:14pm paparay:

@ phat: NO! Fade To Grey is the most 80's record of all. ;-)
  11:17pm phat:

@paparay I actually started to think that as it started playing.
  11:17pm Stevel:

BBEEEWWWWWW
  11:18pm N'Lo:

Old Goths don’t dye, we just....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:18pm chresti:

Cool, paparay! We saw the Itals perform in Negril, after the show they invited my then-husband and I to smoke with them. About a year later, my husband gave one of them a ride after bumping into him at Trader Joe's in the SFV.
  11:19pm phat:

I can't really ever get enough Erasure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21pm DjLorraine:

I enjoyed your Heptones stories
  11:21pm paparay:

@ chresti: That's funny!
  11:35pm Stevel:

Romeo Void! Awesome
  11:35pm phat:

Hot damn! New wave! Lol. Love this song so much.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35pm bbxtina:

what a night! i'm really enjoying this 80s trip!
  11:36pm paparay:

My introduction to this song was that movie with Aidan Quinn. School dance scene where he breaks up the slow dancing & puts this on the turntable. I think it was called Reckless.
  11:38pm Stevel:

Always a great show! There’s more than one way to slice the 80s!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:38pm bbxtina:

youtu.be...
  11:38pm paparay:

@ Stevel: So true!
  11:39pm paparay:

@ bbxtina: YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41pm bbxtina:

yes wendyyy!
  11:42pm paparay:

I remember playing their song Monkey Suit at The Pyramid one night.
  11:42pm Stevel:

Unmistakable. Wendy O. Saw them once. Spectacle.
  11:43pm vrykoluka:

Ray- Yes, it was Reckless, and Daryl Hannah was trying to figure out how to dance with him.
  11:44pm paparay:

@ vrykoluka: In my mind I think it's Lori Singer.
  11:44pm phat:

Haven't listened to Plasmatics in a very long time.
  11:45pm Stevel:

So many mixed feelings.
  11:45pm vrykoluka:

I saw the Plasmatics at The Ritz. Wendy O. chainsawed a keyboard in half while brandishing a sign that said "Death To Technopop."
  11:47pm paparay:

Growing up I thought The Plasmatics were The B-52's. A Jamaican kid living in Queens didn't see too much punk or new wave in my neck of the woods. Later on say 1982, it started to seep into my suburbia. I got sucked in! I did hear the music thanks to WBLS and then WLIR the summer of 1982.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48pm DjLorraine:

Whipped cream
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48pm Stevel:

Somehow that was an amazing segue. Wow.
  11:49pm N'Lo:

What a way to wind it back, and down!
  11:49pm paparay:

@ Stevel: If only you knew.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51pm loveless:

@paparay Did a quick check on IMDb on Reckless. Kevin Bacon turned down "Reckless" to do "Footloose" which starred Lori Singer. Dark haired male lead, blonde female lead, mix, match.
  11:51pm paparay:

I tell ya folks, next week DJ Ray Boogie is coming in HARD!!!! Get your body armor ready from now! And yes, I will be going LIVE. Yes folks, LIVE.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52pm Stevel:

There are no accidents. Especially when shit works.
  11:52pm paparay:

@ loveless: There seemed to be a rash of those films. And of course you had the incomparable Valley Girl.
  11:52pm Kate:

Amazing showwwww thank you for making this Friday great!!
  11:53pm paparay:

@ Stevel: YES.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53pm Stevel:

STFU and smile.
  11:54pm paparay:

@ Kate: Thanks for tuning tonight. We do it like this every Friday from 9-midnight.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54pm loveless:

@paparay Yes, and "Vision Quest".
  11:55pm vrykoluka:

@loveless- Vision Quest, featuring a pre-macrobiotic Madonna, haha.
  11:55pm paparay:

@ loveless: Vision Quest. Just a vehicle to sell soundtracks. The home video boom introduced me to many of these films. No way I was gonna pay to sit through these films.
  11:56pm Kate:

Luv your punk disco sensibilities!
  11:56pm paparay:

@ loveless: I actually saw Personal Best. I must've snuck in at the local multiplex.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57pm loveless:

@paparay Slowly raises hand, "I did". Air conditioning and popcorn is my crack.
  11:57pm paparay:

@ Kate: This was the stuff I heard, danced to and enjoyed in clubs in the 80's. Trying to bring some of that energy back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57pm DjLorraine:

I had a great time. Y'all stay safe.
  11:58pm paparay:

@ loveless: I was a Fast Times At Ridgemont High kinda guy. Wasn't into John Hughes films. Couldn't relate. Loved Weird Science too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58pm Stevel:

Great show! Thanks! Thank you Skeletons and all!
  12:00am paparay:

Thanks to all who tuned in and hung out tonight. Stay safe and see you next week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00am radioronan:

Thanks Ray.. Thanks skeleton crew!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00am chresti:
